These screws are rock solid. They are incredibly fast to place. They are super easy to "start" and then they sink into the ice like a drill. In my experience they are easier to place then BD turbo express. Now, the sling: Ok it's great in a way, and also quite limiting in a way. It's nice (at least psychologically) to be able to clip in after just two rounds of turning and it's nice to save a carabiner. On the other hand if you want to use a long sling you either have to clip a carabiner to a carabiner (!) or plan it in advance and rack it with the long sling attached two one of the two clipping points. They are quite tricky to rack as well.
So, these screws are great, especially in combination with others, but I would not recommend a rack consisting of only these.

This ice axe is quite good if you're going for some non-technical climbing/snow hiking. But that's it. If you're going to be doing any techincal stuff, there is a bunch of better axes. It's not the lightest you can get either. So if you're looking for an ice axe for alpine touring or a "just in case" one Camp Corsa Nanotech (for example) would be a lot better choice.

Well worth the price

These ice tools are definitely good as a first pair. The price is really good. They are comfortable to swing, the rock-snake gives a solid second hold and the blade is cheap to replace when you've sharpened them more than you should. Excellent for drytooling. For instance you can stick the into thin cracks because of the thin shaft. In deep snow I tend to use them "upside-down" to increase the hold.

I bought this jacket in 2008, and I'm still using it. It's very lightweight and very warm and suits most of my winter activities perfectly. Excellent for belaying, food stops when climbing Hvannadalshnjúkur, when cooking in camp or standing for a long time during outdoor courses e.g.
It packs to it's own pocket and you hardly notice it in your backpack, but be careful when packing it with sharp objects - it will tear!
