Are the Montrail Continental Divide's being discontinued? They are not on the Montrail website. Montrail designed an awesome shoe for heavier runners and/or rough terrain here...the only flaw was color options. Apparantly they forgot they were in the trail running biz!

Extremely hard sole, which is fine depending on your terrain. Very large toe box, too. The downfall which led to me returning these shoes were the molded plastic which surrounds the ankle on both sides. Basically, there's no "give" and it dug into the bottom of my ankle balls, both sides, both feet. First time I've ever experienced this. Tried to break them in for a month, then gave up and returned them.

As I read so many positives about the XA Pro 3D, I'm compelled to add my thoughts. I've had three pairs, so I obviously am a fan (for the same reasons as earlier posted--feel, drainage, lacing, etc.). One important note, though: I'm 205 lbs and run on pretty rocky trails, and the mesh upper has consistently torn on top of the crease at the pinkie toe. Just something to consider if you're a heavier runner or running extra rough terrain--they're not as durable as the Montrail Hardrock, Continental Divide, or TNF 103 XCR. Otherwise, though, I agree that these are awesome shoes. If you're willing to replace them a month 80-100 miles earlier, buy them.
