I love challenge and exploration. Backcountry skiing is where I have been truly pushing my limits with 2 million feet in 2010. Its not just vertical I love ski steep lines, summiting new mountains and being a little reckless. Mountain biking has become a passion while rockclimbing is what I used to do in the 90's when a dislocating shoulder forced me away from it and into ski mountaineering. But I am back climbing with a new shoulder and loving being back on the rock. Whatever you do, do it with passion, push yourself as hard as you can and most importantly enjoy yourself.
8 hours in and well protected.
I have used this rope for my alpine missions all summer and found it to be great.
A little stiff, not as smooth as the 10.2 but great feel. The middle line did disappear quickly though.
When you are hiking in for 3 hours, climbing for 9 and hiking out for 5 lightness counts. These babes are great. Easy to use once you practice, they are perfect for alpine assaults
Can't wait to try this jacket, its nice and long covering my "butt" for the chairlift.
Its simple and effective jacket. I will layer when its cold and not when its hot.
The slide/lock system will be great and the system will be awesome with my sabre pants
I love the fabric that these are made of, burly Gore-Tex pro with a inside face fabric. They are awesome.
Thigh vents, minimalist. I am excited to connect the slide and lock system with my caden jacket. It should make a bomb proof one piece like two piece system.
The baggy style is in and will also make me a little less dorky. Since I foot and long these will shorten me a bit. Not the reason I have them but a definite plus.
Arc quality guarantees satisfaction
I bought this for my wife and she looks great in it.
The fabric is very nice on the inside and will be great for fall/spring days.
Not a lot of room for layering underneath though.
Not as long as we thought but she is 5.10 and in a medium.
When I read the description on these I did not realize how warm they would be. I use these more for skiing then hiking, unless its very cold.
They are great ski gloves for warmer days, not for brutal cold days.
Mediums fit my hand well,
This hat is pretty cool.
Looks great and will be super durable. Not my usual style but I like it a lot.
Can store all crumpled and come back to its original form well.
I wore this yesterday for my first time and I felt so stylish. So Urban. I could feel people checking out the stylish coat I was wearing.
Its city cool with mountain burly.
I can't wait for an excuse to wear it again.
It fits well, I am 6 foot 175 and the medium is perfect, sleeves are long and cut is great.
I am super psyched on these. Very comfy and stylish.
I am 6 ft and the 32 waist has long legs that work well for me. I can cross my legs and they won't creep way up my legs. Also not too tight on my thighs.
The gusseted crotch is a great addition, allow me to be active in my city wear.
I really dig this bag, it handles all my needs.
The fabrics are great, very durable and waterproof.
The extra compartment for shovel and everything is essential for me.
Ice axe carrying system works well.
Side sipper access is great, I need that in a bag over 30 l, otherwise what you need is always on the bottom.
I find that the straps are too long and have either cut some shorter or used a velcro piece to keep them organized. Otherwise in a windy moment you can get slapped.
Color is also great.
I like the carrying abilities of this bag, but it is not a backpack. The straps are for short travel stints, to carry quickly between transportation.
The fabric is really durable and the compression straps and zippers make a lot of sense.
This bag holds all my essential climbing gear and allows me to get home from work, grab the bag, knowing everything is in there and ready to go.
Everything for sport climbing that is. Trad gear is a little too much, with 60 m rope, water, harness....
Then the ease of access and opening make it a great crag pack. Pair it with the Arcteryx Haku rope bag and your system is dialed.
The instant warmth of down is the best insulation in the world. I love putting this piece on and feeling comfortable immediately.
It is super light, and very warm for its size. The face fabric is very light and makes this jacket feel extra light.
The super designers at Arcteryx used body mapping to figure out where the down would get wet and they placed core loft in those areas. You still have to make sure it doesn't get soaked but it can withstand some water. Pair it with a light gore-tex piece and you will have a great system.
I like the athletic fit and a medium fits me tight, 6 ft 170 lbs.
These are really comfortable, great fabric weight and style. I remember making fun of a guy in highschool who had shorts past his knees. Well he is laughing now because these are my new favorites.
This pants is perfectly designed for alpine sessions. Gussetted crotch, stretchy and durable knees, lace hooks, minimalist pockets. I climbed a bunch of alpine routes in these and was super excited about how perfect they were.
They do fit small but that is what they are designed for, nothing extra to get caught while climbing. Very streamlined and legs are a little short
The lace hooks are really awesome, keeping your feet dry on the approach, while stomping through rivers. If you are getting splashed not dunked that is.
But they are more function than fashion.
I really like the way this fits my head, its very comfortable. It also seems to go low on the back of my head and protect my brains.
It is hot though, the ventilation is not that great compared to most XC helmets, but it does protect better. So I would take extra heat for extra protection.
Fresh untracked pow, exactly what these skis are made for
Nothing like watching your friends shred powder on a wicked snowboard
