The Pistol performs like a Hummer without using as much gas. Obviosly it's good in fresh dumps, but it's most amazing in tracked out powder. Instead of being thrown off by the tracks, my Pistols (189cm) can cruise right over the top. The 95mm waist is also a good platform for landing tricks in the park. However, I've had to develop my own style when I ski the grooms or the bumps. The ski's rigidity is limited to the middle of the stick, so I'm forced to turn the ski almost completely sideways for the edges to grip. It feels cool to ski like that, but I probably look like an old man from the lift. While the ski performs like a hummer, it also looks like one. It stands out from the crowd and I feel like fancy pants mcgee with neon green sidewalls and chrome bullets that continually fall out. All this cosmetic hoopla needs to go before I can give the Pistol a five. But I didn't buy the skis for their looks, I bought it for performamce and the Pistol's is hard to top.
