Genevieve Mount's Bio

I love swimming in the ocean. I don't like swimming in lakes quite as much because lake-sharks seem creepier than ocean-sharks. I also like playing in the mountains and playing with my dog.

I really love these pants - they're super lightweight and durable, and they dry fast, which makes them great for stuff like climbing, hiking, skydiving, and camping in the summer and fall. I like the way they look, too. Simple but cute. The size 2 is perfect for me (I'm about 5'5 and around 105lb). I'd buy another pair in the blink of an eye if they had my size.

I got these for my boyfriend so he'd have a pair of lightweight and durable pants to climb in that also look and feel comfortable for pretty much anything else (school, casual stuff). We're both super happy with them - they look great, they're comfy, and they seem like they'll stand up to some climbing abuse too.

Love this top - it's soft and comfortable, and I can climb in it and then pair it with a skirt for dinner. Merino wool makes it way less stinky than polyester workout tanks, too. I usually would order a small, but I ordered the medium just so it would work as a casual top and a workout top.

I did order one size up based on other reviews, and it's perfect (I would usually get a small, and I ordered and fit a medium). I like the design because it's supportive and yet simple (no back or front clasps). While it's nice to sometimes have clasps in back, I do kung fu and jiu jitsu, so this bra is perfect for both keeping everything out of the way and also not randomly unhooking or digging into my back.

I really like wearing this top in the winter - I wear it with a semi-long, very slim tank underneath so the tank peeks out the bottom. It would work as a layer that way in an air-conditioned office in the summer as well. I agree that the fabric is a little sheer, which is why it works well to layer a cami or tank underneath. The shirt is super soft, and I love the wide neck - nice breathing room without slipping off your shoulders. I'm between an XS and S in most tops, and the S worked just fine.

I love these because I can wear them with snowpants when I'm tromping around in the snow up at the park with my dog and with leggings and a short winter skirt when I'm going out for dinner. I absolutely love the look of them, and I love how they keep my feet and toes warm for two-plus hours while my dog happily hunts. I can't believe I've spent so many winter without these (and with cold feet). They were an investment, but worth it for sure. I've worn them a ton already this winter - haven't put them through the wringer yet, but I have worn them many more than several times. So far, so good. Oh - sizing. I wear a 7.5 in most shoes and have a narrow foot. The 38 almost worked - fit well width-wise but really felt a bit too small for me length-wise, so I settled on a 39. They're tad bit wide for me, but they work just fine and I'd rather have that than a squashed toe (my left foot is slightly longer than my right, so that's fun). Anyway, these are my favorite boots by far.

I got this to use as a reusable thermos for coffee shops - it's perfect for hot and cold drinks, and it's just the right size for me since I usually order a 12oz drink. It's the only thermos I've ever had that actually keeps drinks cold for a really long time (haven't tried the hot as much yet, but it's amazing how long ice and water will stay cold in this thing, even in a hot apartment). I love the color choices too.

I love these flip-flops - I got them last summer and wore them almost every day. I have fairly narrow feet, and they fit perfectly. They have a very minimal feel underfoot, which I really like, but they also don't make my feet feel tired like some flip-flops do. They also have plenty of sole despite the minimal feel, so you won't get jabbed by pointy rocks while you walk. The strap seems really solid and hasn't stretched out at all, so they're still very quiet when I walk (some flip-flop straps start to stretch and get all floppy). Love the cutout designs! I'll probably buy another pair just to have if these ever give out!

I got these because I was looking for some warm, fitted leggings to wear with boots and under short winter skirts, and they're awesome for that. Really comfy, warm, and smooth. I'm sure they would be great for winter running or yoga as well, but I'm not really into wearing tight-ish pants for working out, so they're perfect for me for wearing under a skirt.

So far these have been perfect for long dog walks and driving in winter - I was a little afraid they wouldn't be as warm as regular mittens, but so far the flap stays very close when it's over your fingers. I love being able to quickly flip the flap back to answer my phone or to take yet another picture of my dog happily romping through the snow somehow totally looking even cuter than he was, you know, in the picture I took of him just two minutes ago. The cuffs are long, so you do have to deal with a bit of bunching from an underlayer, but I don't mind.

This harness has worked really well for me - I'm a girl (about 5'5, 105lb), and this is the most comfortable harness I've ever climbed in. I really only climb sport, but I've done plenty of swinging and hanging on overhung routes, and this harness, despite the fact that it's so light, is more comfortable for me than a much more padded harness I used at first. It also makes me way less sweaty, which is nice.

I have pretty narrow feet, and when I pulled these out of the box, I have to admit that they looked so clunky and um, big, that I thought there was no way they'd fit well and no way I'd want to wear them. I also thought they looked a bit silly on my feet. But once I walked around in them, I couldn't even think of sending them back. They are so comfortable. I even wore them on two fairly rocky hikes and my feet felt great (I hate wearing any kind of shoe in the summer). As far as looks, they aren't the sleekest, but for comfort for long walks or long days on your feet, they're awesome.

These are so great! The fact that they fold up small means you can fit them in a purse so you actually have them when you're grocery shopping (instead of forgetting them in your car or not bringing them because of the bulk of most totes), and they're great for car trips (to hold beach towels, water bottles, shoes, snacks, and all the last-minute extra stuff you want to bring).

Just to give some information on the rise of these - I was really excited about these pants, but they turned out to be too high-rise for me (even though I bought these a size bigger than I usually would have for a lower fit). Definitely not a true low-rise pant. I hope Patagonia will make the same pants in low-rise some day, because I loved the fabric and the green color. (I gave these three stars because, for people who like the fit, they're probably great.)

I eat one of these (or a half of one) right after I wake up and before I go to the gym in the morning. It's perfect for me because I don't want to eat a big breakfast before working out, but I do need a little something to get me going. It's also really quick. I like the original honey flavor best! It doesn't give me a crazy boost of energy - just a steady amount for a bit, which is just right.

I love this tank. It's by far the softest merino top I've ever worn - very silky and lightweight. Great for working out or as a layer under other clothes in winter. It's long enough for workouts, and the arm holes are big enough that there's no chafing but at the same time, they provide plenty of coverage. I also love the V-neck - very flattering. I only wish Icebreaker would make some colorways without the contrast seams so that I could wear it as a casual tank as well.

I got this for my dog (he's a husky-mix). Love: it has a really low profile, the climb-inspired attachments are very simple and sleek, the tags go on a separate ring and there's a rubber circle on the ring to reduce jingling
Don't love: my dog is a bit of a puller on the leash, so if I just attach his leash directly to this collar, the rope tends to stretch out a bit after a while.
That said, I usually attach his leash to a chest harness, so the collar really just acts as a tag-holder most of the time. As such, it's perfect.

I absolutely loved these slippers and wore them for two winters around the apartment. However, before the first winter was done, I had already hand-sewn fabric onto the bottoms in a desperate attempt to further their lives (holes and tears happened in the soles a few months in). I did that two more times before giving up. I know they're tent booties so maybe not really for massive indoor use - I really wish Baffin would make some just like these but with a rubber bottom for non-tent use.
