I usually wear a size 10 in women's boots, but they were too narrow in the width. I ordered a men's size 10, the width is great but they were a size to big. Curious, would it be recommended to order a size 9.5 or a size 9.0? I think the 9.5 might be the best or I might order both and return whichever boot that does not fit. They are great boots and Backpacker Magazine is a great resource.

I ordered these in a large based on the Sizing Guide and my measurements. The large fit comfortable, they do not ride up nor do the legs roll up. I read that a few individuals were having issues with the waist band twisting (Try sewing four-six stoppers on it to prevent the waist band for twisting.) Like sewing a button on but without the button. I am still trying these out to ensure they will hold up for backpacking this year. But I did wear them for 48 hours (while doing daily activites and work) and felt as if I did not have bottoms on! Good product.

I purchased the Shale/Sugilite Large base layer and I am very pleased with this product. The long down fall that I found is that the thumb holes act as if they are the wrist cuff on me. I suppose I have longer uppper extremities. However, overall I wore this shirt in upper 20's degree weather with a slight breeze and still felt warm to the core. I will be purchasing more Stoic base products. OH PLEASE DO BUT THE DETERGENT THAT IS RECOMMENDED FOR THEIR PRODUCTS: NIKWALL WOOL DETERGENT (to ensure the longevity of the clothing.)

After researching the Stoic base layers and comparing my measurements to the Sizing Guide, I order the Medium Sugilite/Shale and I am pleased. I am 68", roughly 160lbs, waist is 34" and hips 42." They fit true to sizing, not transparent and fit comfortably. I live in Northern California, 5000 feet where it snows 20 plus feet per year. Currently at 10-20's at night and 30-45's for the day. These base layers act as warmth layer and even the wind, they KEEP You WARM! If I could wear there all day, I would. We are using these as a base layer for backpacking for:spring, summer and fall/early winter.
