Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

I bought these gloves specifically because my hands get cold while I'm snowboarding. I have regular, five finger gloves and when it is cold, my fingers get cold. I also have big hands so I have trouble finding XXL in five finger gloves so decided to go with the lobster glove. Didn't want a straight mitten because I need to have some dexterity to use the ratchets on my bindings.

I got the red and white version and they are just awesome. The cuffs actually keep the snow out very well and the wrist straps are easy to use. They are warm and comfortable.
I can't comment on durability, but I have worn them a few times so far and they seem to be holding up well. The leather part is very soft and stayed soft even after it got wet.

The are only down sides I can see . One is that they are not really a casual cold weather glove and if you don't take the time to put on the wrist straps, the straps hang out pretty far and get caught on things. This is not a terrible downside, but just don't expect to throw them on in two seconds. The other is that, obviously, the three finger part is definitely warmer than the two finger part. This kind of goes without saying since it is not a true mitten, but just in case anyone wanted to be sure.
All in all, its a great compromise between glove and mitten. It looks great and keeps you warm. Definitely worth the money I paid and would buy them again.

I have only been riding a few years and wanted to upgrade from my Ride Antic. The Antic was pretty awesome but had limitations, especially in the park.

The skunk ape is just an awesome ride. Totally responsive. Makes everything just that much easier and it is pretty tough to catch an edge when you don't want to.

I expected the upgrade to be barely noticeable at my skill level, but I can really tell the difference and it adds that much more confidence whether buttering or hitting jumps. Nothing bad to say at all.

Very light, not so strong

Just got a set of MC Metafuse for Valentine's day. As I was getting my board out on the fourth use I noticed that the heelcup had snapped totally in half. Last time out I felt totally out of control and now I know why.

No terrain park, no features, no crashes. Just three times out.

Now we will see what kind of customer service Union has. Sent them an email, but have not heard back from them.

On the plus side, before they broke in half, they were totally awesome comfort and control wise.

I was skeptical about the durability of the frames at first, but once I realized that they are actually quite durable my skepticism is gone. They are great for rides. The lens selection is great, especially the clear option for darker rides or if there are rainy conditions. They stay in place and once you get used to the frameless lenses, its real tough to go back to glasses with frames in your field of vision.

Highly recommend them.
