Material is very lightweight and breathable, but that comes with a price. I snagged the sleeve on the second wear, causing a pretty ugly pull on the fabric. Not as durable as I had hoped for, but it will do for a season. Also, SIZE UP - I ordered a large and it fits like a medium which is what I usually wear without body armor. I ordered a large to fit over the body armor.
...but not so much. The product seemed true to size. (they need to be somewhat snug to work correctly). Not too shabby on the comfort level, and in fact, made me feel very secure when I wore it.
My biggest beef was with the quality of craftsmanship. I lost a rivet after the first ride - sewing of pads to the netting then came undone in short order.
Long story short, I expected a better product from Fox. I returned it to HNR (without issue I might add...I love those guys) and quickly spent more $$ on a POC.(tey love me too...) I will write a review on the POC after some experience with it, but out of the box, the quality seems head and shoulders above the Titan. The old adage "You get what you pay for" seems to apply here.
Great bike for the price! Hopefully HNR will do a similar deal with a yeti for others in the future. I feel lucky to have snagged this one.
I've since added a Specialized Command Seatpost, Candy 3's, and Ergon GS1 grips. Rides like a dream.
I like these, but after using both, I like the Ergon GS1 design even better....
Can't go wrong with either if you ask me. The ergomonic feel and grip rock!
Is HuckNRoll going to restock these? I have one in black and want a red one....
The ergo design of these will change your ride for ever! Riding with simple round grips are not near as comfortable once you make the switch. When you think about it, we are making three points of contact with the bike (Seat/pedals/grips), yet the advancement in grip design has been very slow in coming.
I use the small size and I am 5'7". I had a pair of the large at one time, but found them a little to big for my grip, which meant sore hands, so choose the size wisely! I've had the Ergon GA1's as well and seem to like these a bit better.
....with this bike! This was a great purchase for the price paid. I have added Candy 3 pedals, and a Specialized Command seatpost. I wasn't sure I would like the SRAM shifters/derailleurs, but I am getting used to them, and I really like how the respond with authority vs the wimper I was used to with the Shimano stuff. The Fox suspension is good quality with the added Kashima coatings making it all that much better. Love the geometry of this bike. I previously rode a Gary Fisher and prior to that, a Mongoose before they sold their soul to the devil...
Not sure I agree that you should buy a size larger. (read that somewhere) They appear to be pretyy true to size. I ordered up one size, but I think my regular size would have most likely fit better. They do have the side adjuster that snugs them up a bit if they are a bit big. Seem well made.
This is one of those tools you may overlook, but once you have it, you wonder what you ever did without it. I have used this a bunch since I purchased it last month. So far I have used it on my shifters, brake levers, dropper seatpost lever, and cleats. It's nice to know I am torquing those items to manufacturer specs. I'd give it 5 stars, but it doesn't come with any attachements like different sized hex bits and such.
Bought these (not here) after a pair of Bontragers cracked across the sole plate (less than a year old...). These fit my feet very well, with no pinching or discomfort. Very comfortable shoes!
These knee pads fit well and aren't "grabby" at all. Nice pads that, for all intents and purposes, appear well made. Only time will tell on wear and tear and how long the straps maintain their elasticity. I'm not at all disappointed in the purchase. So far, so good!
These gloves have a nice molded fit and feel to them. I did expect the palm padding to be a little thicker than what they are. The padding in these gloves are minimal, so don't expect a lot. The gloves are well vented so your hands don't overheat. I have a medium sized hand and the large fit me well in the finger length. I rated these gloves 4 stars only because I would prefer a bit more palm padding. Lastly, I typed this entire review while wearing them! That should tell you something as well.
