Hi. I bought these boots a while ago now and really like everything about them. The soles are about worn through in places. I plan to wear them till my toes touch the ground. I brought them to a local, grouchy, cobbler who didn't impress me as someone who would resole them correctly. I was hoping he'd have a sole to match the one on the boot (I think it's fairly common) but he didn't. Anyway, does anyone know how or where I can get these boots reliably resoled? Thanks for your time.

I've had this bag for a couple of years now. A 0 deg bag was overkill for me, at the time, but it was a good deal and I didn't know how cold I'd eventually go. I live and play around VT.
The bag is very light for its temp rating. The shell has not torn or worn despite its delicate texture. I do not have down poking through at all. The zipper has thick smooth nylon around it which limits catch. I use a waterproof compression sack that did not come with the bag.
I have been out in below freezing temps with this bag, but never down to the single digits, always in a tent or shelter, and always with a ground mat. This thing has kept me very warm. Above freezing the zippers stay open. The loft meets all expectations for a quality down bag. The head baffles are simple and effective. A small non intrusive pocket for headlamp etc.
Conclusion: great backpacking cold weather bag.

155 124/95/110. New to AT skiing

and jumped on an inexpensive pair of skins. No correct size available, so I went long and wide. 130mm long. Plan to trim them down (I went with long over medium so I could potentially make my own toe attachment if necessary). Did I make an error? I've heard some people say they just cut off the rear buckle, will that work? Is there some way to salvage, or make my own attachment, or should I send back and wait for a better deal?

Bought on S&C. large to medium face. I typically wear more of an aviator style but wanted something more sturdy. These are very sturdy, arms lock in place. The polarized reflex bronze lenses are amazing even compared to other polarized lenses. Brings out terrain and blocks all but the harshest of light. No fog issues but I have not tried them on a hot rainy day. Light leakage not an issue. These have opaque frames and they do cut down peripheral vision a little, most notable when checking my blind spot while driving. -By no means tunnel vision. I do not like the raised Native logo on the nose pads, doesn't seem to add grip, but slightly irritating, unnecessary pressure point. I plan smooth it out with a razor. The fit and weight is otherwise exceptional. I would have liked a hard case, but beggars can only be so choosy.
