Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this for my wife, here is her review: I like the design, as it's a little funky. The fit is looser than I expected, but it doesn't bunch up or get in the way, so I wouldn't order a smaller size. It does a good job of wicking away sweat and keeping me cool while I'm working out. I also really like that it coordinates with the other Stoic Thrive things that I have.

I?ve gone on three hikes with these boots now. The break-in period was a little rough, so allow yourself some ?training? time, but now they are perfectly comfortable. They have plenty of cushion and support the ankle well. Tied tightly, they keep my heel in place to prevent blisters. The material seems to breathe and my feet stay dry. I?m a casual hiker, and for the price, these boots are great.

I bought 2 pair of these, enjoying the design and the material. They were incredibly comfortable on the first wear. On first wash (in two separate loads) the first pair blew out the crotch stitching (they were fine before I put them in the washer), and the second pair the stitching started coming out (also fine before first wash). They have a lifetime warranty, but I have a feeling that I will end up spending at least an equal amount of money shipping and reshipping and reshipping each replacement pair.

Buyer beware.
