Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs large

I'm 6'4" 250 with an athletic build and this fits me fine. Overall, this is a great coat, stylish enough for the city, but a go-to piece for the outdoors, the area it was designed for. It's warm, and blocks the wind very well, is well built, with constant layering throughout the coat. One minor quibble is that the hood could be a little bigger/longer, though I am wearing an XL and it is probably due to my frame. The insulation in the hood is solid and should help you stay warm. With a fleece, I could see some one wearing this down to the teens or a little lower if they're daring, and easily low 30's and above with just a shirt on underneath(with a took on since the insulation in the hood is the thinnest part of the coat-though still solid). Folks looking for their hiking, rock climbing main piece should definitely check this coat out, and will make anyone happy who is looking for a warm Winter coat that ins't bulky.

Fit: True to size

The style, warmth and length of this product are fine, it had some leakage issues at first-nothing major, and it hasn't since the first couple of days I used it. This is a solid jacket, it's not super warm, but it blocks the wind well and will serve you pretty well down to around 48 degrees or so. Then you'll need to layer up. I could see it being a solid layer especially for wind protection. It has two stow pockets that are really nice, with two side pockets, unzipped that have some down fill. The style is great, I get a lot of compliments. Overall it's a good piece to have in your rotation with the keys, being style, wind blocking, comfort, plus decent warmth. I'm happy with this purchase, and it has Patagonia quality you'd expect.

Positives-Good style, blocks wind well, hood has solid down lining, torso good too. Overall material is good.
Negatives-Too thin in the arms.
It's definitely not for harsh conditions unless you have a good layer underneath, but will serve you well in most cold temperatures. I just wore it home with just an oxford shirt on underneath in 25 degree windy weather and it held up pretty well. I wish it had more down in the arms, and the interior pocket was better, but overall it is a good coat. Overall it could use more down.

Really great material, very comfortable great water resistance-really saved me when I was caught in a rain storm, but if you're a hardcore climber or hiker this probably isn't for you since it doesn't cinch at the waist or wrists. Also feel the mesh pockets should be enclosed, but I really do love this coat for cruising around a cold, wintry city.

Great material with a really cool design. I've had mine over two years and it has really held up with solid use. My slight gripe is it could have more down in the arms below the elbow, but it has just enough.
Overall it is a fantastic coat, long-reaches to the middle of my thigh-I'm 6'3" with a very warm hood, solid face guard-could have been lined on the inside but it is still effective. It's my go to coat when it is absolutely freezing out. Great value with that one minor quibble mentioned earlier. It's a fairly long coat so keep that in mind when you order. I think you'll be very satisfied. I love mine. Peace
