Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had the k-wings before these and they were just a bit too much. These are a great comprimise between the k-wing and a standard bar - they have a nice flat spot on the top for endurance rides, and have a good, long return on the drop section which I like. the reach and drop are short which, again, I think is just how these bars should be.

I've put about 2,000 miles on my wheels and they have been simply amazing. I've not had any of the issues listed below - heat and broken spokes. I wonder if there were a few bad batches in the past (mine are 2013). I live in Utah so lots of big descents. They brake flawlessly (was concerned when they were new and the pads weren't seated because I had a hard time slowing them down on descents. Now that they're seated, no more issues). This is my first set of carbons, but I'm amazed how much smoother they are than aluminum.

Do they clip in and out well? Yes. But beware that walking in these things is downright scary. I look like an 80 year old man hobbling around in these, being careful not to fall and break a hip. I'll be buying the version with the grips. They do wear out quickly, but buying new clips is cheaper than surgery.

Simple to install, love the versatility

I was a bit skeptical of the "universal" nature of these feet. I just wasn't sure that I wanted a rack with a generic strap for the rails. But I could not be more happy with these feet! They are very simple to install and the strap is legit - looks like it will last a long, long time. I really like that the adjustment tool is built into the foot itself, and I like that I can take this off one car and put it on another, assuming it has rails. This was a great purchase.

I matched it up with some Rocky Mount Pitchforks just in case I need the trays when going with friends who own Yak racks.

Good for holding your bikes on your car

I bought these on account of I have both Thule and Yakima racks (don't ask me why) and I like that they work with both. I strapped 'em to my Crossroads, put my bike up there and drove all the way to St. George. When I got there, the bike was still on my car. 5 stars for that.

I will say they don't do me much good when the Ogres come out, and it took me forever to move a pile of hay with 'em, but for bikes they are money.

So I was a little bent that I trashed my last set of tires using them on my rollers. So when I saw this, I had to try it out (bought a set when I bought my replacement tires). So far so good - quiet, stayed on the rims, good traction on the rollers and what not. I bit pricey for spares, but I like that I'm not trashing my road tires.

Great deal

Looks awesome and my little guy loves it. Happy purchaser.

End of season and adding additional thoughts. Now that it's warmer, my kid is more interested in biking and skate boarding than skiing. But does that stop him from rocking his ski helmet?? Oh, no. He still rolls around the 'hood in this (with goggles) like a boss. Great purchase indeed.

I wear these a lot and super happy with them. They look cool and can be worn casual or slightly dressy. I do notice that they seem to make my feet hotter than other shoes. Not sure what's up with that but I dig them. Olukai in general is a pretty awesome brand.

I'm a 10.5 and I thought the sizing was right on the money.

I loved this jacket. For the money (it was on sale) it was great construction, great color, great style. But...I had to return it for the fit. OR just runs to freakin' big. I usually wear large but OR large is huge. So I bought the medium which seemed fine until I needed my arms out front and then they pulled short. Not enough in the back or something. Anyway, I want to love OR but just never can get the sizing right.

So I bought a used pair of these that ended up being too big, which bummed me out because I really dug them other than their being too big. So when they went on sale at BC I picked up another pair and pawn the old ones off to a buddy who has these club-shaped, massive feet. Anyway, out of the box these boots are CRAZY tight. I'm talkin' get them off as fast as you can tight. But the Black Diamond guy assured me they were right. I bought them and got them cooked at a BD dealer and I cannot even describe how awesome the fit it now. Seriously unreal. So...get the right fit no matter what they feel like out of the box, get them cooked (can't stress enough that these liners need to be cooked) and enjoy the best boots you've ever had.
