Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

After reading the reviews I was doubtful it could be "that" bad - but it is. Loose threads galore...ok, fine, no big deal, try it on, and a chest button pops off into oblivion immediately. The shirt's quality really is low, and the material is thin and wouldn't last long. Sent it back and will buy a more quality item.

I just got a pair of these from you guys. I have a medium head, and a narrow face. They glasses hold on my head fine, but they see to be a little too wide. I can squeeze them a little and they look fine. Two questions: Are there any M frames that are just a tad smaller OR can I mold them (squeeze them together) so they fit my head a little better? Its one or the other, will probably have to send them back. Thanks

Well, I wore this jacket on a camping trip into the cascades...and its the warmest, lightest jacket, I have ever owned. I've never been a fan of down - it gets wet, most jackets have cold spots, etc. This jacket sheds water and is incredibly warm if you are moving around(I wouldn't wear it in rain, but it shed the snow fine, when it got too wet I used a poncho.)

Thank you backcountry/SC, and definitely thank you outdoor research. For the price I paid, this jacket is more than a deal...its a steal.

Not overly puffy, feels extremely light on the fill weight, I haven't worn it up to the mountains yet but not sure I would trust staying warm at camp in anything under 25F in this thing with a shell over it. The arms especially feel like they skimped on the fill.

Will update after I test it, but I get the feeling this thing is intended for showing off the OR logo in a crowded shopping mall. It is a nice looking piece however.
