I have this version of the Kiku in the 168 and they are AWESOME. I have never enjoyed skiing more, or skied better, than on these boards. They really shine in powder but are more than competent in all conditions, even including hardpack. I demo'ed them in the 178 and they were not nearly as fun and nimble as the 168 - I was really surprised b/c I'm 6 ft, 160# and thought for sure I'd want the longer ski. FWIW, a national ski magazine (maybe Skiing, I'm not certain?) had the same observation in their review of this ski. Also, they're the same length as my 174 cm Phat Luv's so the length is very subjective! Get them, you'll love them - practically guaranteed. But consider the 168 instead of 178.

Question about sizing - I'm a big girl (6 feet, 160 lbs.), reasonably strong and technically proficient - but definitely not an "aggressive" skier. These will be used for powder days at Wasatch resorts. Unsure if I should get the 170 or the 178 in the Kiku. Demo'ed the 170 in untracked pow and soft crud and I loved it - but will I love the 178 more?!
