I bought the atom lt in the wheat grass, and size large and the color is very accurate to the picture. The sizing on this piece is very accurate; I am mostly a large in everything I wear (6'1", 195lbs, 42inch chest, 33inch waist) and it fits like a charm.
I will start off by saying that this jacket is very unassuming. It is unbelievably light, yet very very warm. I have worn it the past three days in the remnants of hurricane sandy in Ann Arbor, Michigan (30-40F, wind chill 20F, rain, sleet, snow, 30mph winds), and it has done me wonders. If i put a light fleece underneath the atom i am VERY warm with the 20F wind chill. amazing. Yet, when it gets around 55F with a slight breeze, this jacket is perfect with just a t-shirt under neath. Its like the jacket knows the temperature outside and decides how warm to be.
The zippers all work great, and i love the placement of the pockets (not too low, but not too high where they are at my chest). The outside lining of the pockets have nice microfleece to them, but the inside lining that goes against your body does not, it is just the smooth fabric lining of the jacket.. I am not sure why they made it like this, but the pockets would be much warmer if they had done it right. The inner chest pocket is also not really a chest pocket. It is somewhere in between so that when you put something in there it sags down to take up space of the left hand pocket. Its just kinda awkward. All of these are very small gripes, and I love this jacket. It goes with me everywhere now.
I will update when I have had more rigorous use with it!
I bought the delta lt in the tungsten size large and the color is very accurate to the picture. The sizing on this piece is very accurate; I am mostly a large in everything I wear (6'1", 195lbs, 42inch chest, 33inch waist) and it fits like a charm. I would say that it definitely runs long because I have a very long torso and arms and it fits me well (maybe a little long, but this is good because I have a theta ar to cover that length).
The pullover is comparable to a thick long sleve t-shirt, but it is much much warmer than that. I wore this around town all day and it was 45F here and 20mph winds. I cant wait to use this under my atom or theta ar, i cant imagine how warm it will be then.
The delta's collar is superbly made: it fits neither to high that you're choking, nor too low so that it doesn't cover your neck, just right. The zipper also goes down a couple inches past my sternum; this gives me just enough room to breath when it heats up a little bit inside. The full zip delta lt i think would be pointless, just extra weight for no gain in versatility. I have only had the jacket out on the town today, but I will update. Great jacket so far!
p.s i price matched from amazon and got a great deal with the backcountry sales rep! I will come back to backcountry time and time again because of their customer service.
