Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These shorts are both durable and comfortable. I worn these shorts several times a week for riding on rollers for the last several months and have yet to have an issue with them. I machine wash them after every ride, several times a week and they still look and feel great. I wear bibs on the road so I have no opinion what they are like on a road ride but for rollers & trainer rides, which I think are way more demanding comfort wise than the road, these shorts are fine.

I have these on my road bike and find them way more comfortable, float wise, than look pedals. I don't own a mountain bike. I'm a road rider only. I initially had Shimano SPD but I didn't get enough float in them. These are way more comfortable for me. I wanted mountain shoes instead of road shoes so that I can walk into a house without scratching up fancy floors or slipping. For that these are great. I use these pedals with a Specialized Pro mountain bike shoe. It's basically a road shoe with a super stiff carbon sole and rubber mountain bike lugs. Best part is they don't ruin our wood floors.
