Deborah Uroda's Bio

Grew up in Texas, moved to Durango in 1976 to be a ski bum hippie in the mountains. Managed to carve out a professional career in communications after graduating from Fort Lewis College. Skiing, camping, cooking in dutch ovens over a campfire, hiking, and gourmet cooking in my home kitchen are what I'm all about. When someone asks me what I'm doing when they see me in April, I tell 'em I'm just hanging out 'til the ski season begins.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My husband purchased a Dale of Norway sweater a few years ago that was so beautiful, that I had to have one of my own. This sweater absolutely lives up to the Dale of Norway brand name. Fits beautifully. Density of the knit is perfect. Can't wait to wear it skiing. I'm sure it'll turn heads.

I have a 35-year collection of awesome ski sweaters, and this one will be added to the top of the list of favorites. Lightweight, yet warm, it fits well under my form-fitting ski jacket. I wore this sweater over a layer of light wool undies with a soft-shell jacket on top in 20-degree weather for a hike, and I was almost too warm. Order a size larger than you might otherwise. I'm 5'9", 155 pounds, with a size C (almost D) cup size, and the XL was perfect.

This is such a stylish sweater, I can't wait to wear it again. Warm, but not too warm, to wear over a thin shell for the office. I'm a curvy 5'9" at 155 pounds with size C (almost D) boobs, and the snug fit was perfect for me. Showed off my curves without showing off the bulge. Office mates wanted to know where I found it. Spiffed it up with an antique lapel pin with dark green crystals. Dressy and casual. Can't beat it.

Put on this jacket when it arrived, and spousal unit was WAY impressed. Snug fitting. I'd recommend that you get a size larger than you otherwise would. Wore it during our first cold storm in Durango, and it was toasty. Was working a special event, moving tables, chairs, etc., and it moved with me well. Looking forward to wearing it on the ski lift. Wish it had more interior pockets and a zip up from the bottom, but it's so good-looking (says spousal unit), that it's style and warmth overcome its shortcomings.

Oh! My! God! I've lived in mountain and snow country for 35 years, and these are the most comfortable, stable, stylish snow boots I've ever owned. True to fit. Get lots of compliments. I ring the bell for the Salvation Army bucket during the holidays, and this year, my feet stayed absolutely toasty standing outside on cold concrete in 17-degree-minus weather. Buy these boots as long as you don't live in Durango, CO. I want to have the only ones here (SMILE)!
