Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 200 lbs
Size Purchased: xl

I have used this jacket extensively in the Adirondack park, ice climbing and snow shoeing. It is extremely light and warm. I wore it as my outer layer snow shoeing in single digit temperatures and it was more than warm enough by itself. I wore it as a mid layer ice climbing this February under an EB hyalite soft shell when the temperatures were below zero. It is a heater under a shell. Was never cold even when the day was -10 and the high was 0. As for sizing XL fits me well 6'2" 200 pounds. ( I initially ordered a large but it was too tight through the shoulders and arms.) The long arms come into play when climbing preventing the sleeves from riding up your forearms. And being super light and compressible did not weigh me down. This jacket goes with me on all my adventures and expeditions.

Will this sock keep my boot from becoming damp from the sweat from my feet or will it only repel water from the outside. I do a lot of backcountry winter hiking/camping and wet boots are my down fall.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The helmet is light weight. So light it is easy to forget you are wearing it. The ventilation is superb. My head stayed relatively cool on a hot day of slide climbing in the Adirondack mountains.
Sizing: My head measured 23 inches in diameter and I ordered both sizes the S/M and the M/L since the high end of the S/M was 23 and the low end of the M/L was also 23. I found that for my head the S/M was much more comfortable. The ratchet adjustment in the back of the helmet helped to customize the fit and allow the helmet to sit securely on my head.
