Powder. It's a drug. And like any other potentially addictive substance, it sucks up time, money and inclination, all of which eventually drain through a hole in your psyche. Seasons are squandered in its pursuit, lives are lost in its fury. It's a silken seductress, to which having once fallen prey to those wiles, you will always return, but whose continuous promise of tumultuous crescendo is never quite realized - there can never, ever, be enough powder. Given that, there can never, ever, be enough said about an inanimate substance with the power to mold disciples and the cosmic ability to both transform and transfix.

Nice jacket but I was disappointed to see a lot of wear after just one season on the shoulder where I carry my skis. If you want a more durable product, pay up and get the 3layer goretex pro shell model. Also, one of the buttons on the powder skirt came off and I had to take it to a tailor to get it fixed. Everything else about the jacket I like, including ample pockets, goggle wipe, hood fits over my hemlet no problem, and comfortable against my face when zipped all the way up. Sizing is normal, I am 185lbs and 6ft tall, I wear a large and it fits great.

I wanted this pack because my vest was getting too bulky. It does a great job of providing enough space to organize everything you need for a full day. Really like the pack on the whole, the only thing I'm not in love with is that I can't find a place to put my hat that is convenient.

Excellent goggles with no complaints. The lens swap is the easiest of any interchangeable goggle I've used. I also have the Vantage helmet, and these fit perfectly with it. When wearing the blackout lens, my friends all say I look like a fighter pilot! Flying through the snow, I kind of feel like one too.

This is the best helmet I've ever owned. I have the Smith iOX goggles and the interface is perfect (no gaper gap)0. It vents super well. I haven't had a single problem with fog all year. Smith stepped the game up over my old Variant helmet with a protective mesh on the vents and it's quieter, w/ less wind noise.

These easily slide into the earflaps of Smith brand helmets. They provide great sound. This model is absent a volume adjustment knob, which in my experience, tended to catch on things and caused static. So with these you just set the volume level with your audio device as normal. Also better than earbuds, because you can still hear your friends and surrounding environment. Won't ski without 'em!

Great little water bottle, I use the half liter model and stick it in my pocket.. much less cumbersome than a hydration pack, especially when you only need a small amount of water. 4 stars instead of 5 because I've had to replace mine after about two years. Having folded it over a lot of times, it finally started to leak.

Thick, seemingly indestructible, 3layer goretex is the way to go for heavily abused ski pants, and the Lofoten from Norrona is the real deal. Mine are holding up very well, even the reinforced boot cuffs show no wear after what has been about 25days on the mountain so far this season. I'm 180lbs, size 34inch waist, and large fits perfect.

The Yakima High Roller bike rack is as good as it gets. I've used other brands in the past and they all fall short when compared to the High Roller. The bike is extremely stable and secure when driving on the highway or in a winding canyon. When demoing different size bikes, it took a matter of seconds to switch the rack to fit 26" or 29" size wheels. Until using this rack, I had no idea what a luxury it is to not have to remove the front tire. Not only does it keep the insides of my car clean, but I'm riding my bike in a matter of minutes when I get to the trail head since I don't have to dink around with putting my front tire on. The locking system is great and simple too. Yakima nailed it with this rack.

Great undershirt for fall, works wonderfully. Nice layer for adding warmth but also breathes easily once you get your heartrate up. Also, if you're not rolling in mud, you don't need to wash this after just one use. Wear it a few times, ball it up and stuff it in your face.. be amazed: no smell!

I'm docking Icebreaker 1star because the sleeves are stitched differently. No big deal, I decided to keep it, but it is something to be aware of.

The Zen Multisport model from Scarpa is just what I was looking for in a hiking shoe. Most of what I find are too soft. You can carry a mid sized pack with these and do so on an advanced trail, while still feeling sure footed. So far they have not created any hot spots either. Very comfortable even when coming back down the crest after a 6hour hike. Don't be afraid to size up by one half, they do run a bit small.

I was looking for a sun hat that wasn't the run-of-the-mill gray, tan, green or dother drab color, so I rolled the dice and picked this one up. I've worn this hiking and playing beach volleyball and so far I couldn't be more stoked. It protects the back of neck nicely and helps keep the sweat off my brow.

Nice looking pants that should serve me well this coming winter. I was told I needed to get some khakis for an upcoming wedding in Seattle. I also recall how much I wore my flannel lined jeans last winter. Why not kill two birds with one stone? The pants have a double front right pocket as pictured (freestone color), normal left pocket, two rear pockets, and reinforced heel cuffs. Good seam construction and comfortable throughout.

Luxury Socks

Fit: True to size

You can bet your bottom dollar that Darn Tough makes the best socks on our website. I would say Smartwool gets 2nd place. I just put my new lime colored Crew socks on to snap a picture for this review, and now I don't want to take them off. Supposed to be saving them for a wedding. I bought size Large for my size 11.0 feet, and they fit perfect.

I haven't had a chance to wear this yet because I bought it for a wedding. Pretty impressed so far, especially for the price. Nice light weight cool shirt for summer heat. Has mesh vents under arm and in the back. I am 6feet tall and 180lbs, occasionally I require an XL, but I bought large as usual, and it fits great.
