Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this to be paired with my SUP. The calf strap is so comfortable that I forget it is attached. The coiled cable keeps the 11 feet of leash from dragging in the water, and slowing me down. It also keeps my dog from getting tangled up while he is in the copilot position. My board has not run away and smashed into an innocent bystander.

The case has enough room for a wallet, phone, keys and a handful of snacks. It kept everything dry while waves washed over the top. The rubber liner provided shock protection for the contents when things got jostled around. The sun beat down through the clear lid, and my phone overheated. I wrapped it in a bandana, and all was good. Pelican has an excellent customer service team, and will replace or repair the case for any reason for as long as you are the owner (you just cover shipping to their location). That alone has me sold. This is a solid piece of gear for terrestrial or aquatic adventures.

Fit: True to size

I agree with the other reviews regarding the short break in time, and level of comfort. The fit is true to size. I generally wear a 10, and the 10 in these is just right. The widths in the toe box and the heel cup are standard, not too much room/not cramped. These are perfect kicking around on a piece of ground in my hometown, and are also my boot of choice for campground debauchery. The soles grip well enough for light trail use, but these are certainly not a backpacking boot. They handle snow and rain well, and provide ample warmth in cool weather. If it's frigid, thick wool socks are a must.

This is a well constructed piece of gear. The handle is burly and in just the right spot for perfect animal management. My pup likes it, and so do I. There is no restriction of movement in the front or rear, and business can be done without any mess as well. Well worth the $$.

Got me a full sized paddle and a medium for my wife. Based on our different builds, they seemed to be the right choices. These paddles really do the trick, and are quite efficient in all types of water conditions (choppy incoming tide in the SF Bay, smooth as glass on Lake Tahoe). I did not experience any flutter. Comfortable in the hand, and the adjustability makes it perfect for friends of different sizes to hop on and give it a go.

Price: can't be beat, bought 2.
Size: when deflated, 2 fit in the hatchback with room to spare.
Portability: throw the pack on your back and get out there.
Stability: perfect even for a noob like me, the center chamber keeps things from flexing too much in the chop.
PR Tool: people will be inquisitive, so be prepared to show them the goods.
Pooch Report: loving it, need more time to explore!

I have been buying tech t-shirts for 17 years. Most of those shirts were made of polyester and nylon. After a while (sometimes a short while), they get funky. So funky that they're unbearable to wear. Merino is the solution. This shirt does not smell even after hours of vigorous activity, drenched in sweat. The material dries relatively quickly too. I wear this shirt hiking, biking, around town and on my daily commute. I used to dread pulling on a functified polyester tech shirt for my ride home after work. With the tech lite, that is never the case. I have even gone all day without changing, and nobody is the wiser. I would have offended several people including myself, if I tried to do this in my tech shirts of old. These are great alone in the heat or as a base layer in cold weather as they wick, breathe and insulate well. Every t-shirt I own is slowly being replaced by these shirts. They are comfortable, especially after a few washes. It's crucial to hang dry them. If you don't, you'll ruin the material. I know from first hand experience. Get one, and you're bound to get more. They're awesome.

This hat does its job and keeps the chill at bay. However, if it is worn for for several hours, it hurts the ears. I don't have an abnormally large melon and have never had this problem with any other beanie. I want to like it, but I need to massage the pain from my ears after wearing it for a long period of time.

I'm super stoked on these pants. They're confortable in all situations. The sizing is spot on. I use them commuting to work by bike, hiking, working and chilling at the local pub. They shed light precip effortlessly and they dry in a flash. The roll up snaps are uber handy in hot weather not to mention they work well to keep the fabric out of my chain/crank. I can't say enough good things about these pants. I own three different versions and will replace them with the same thing once they give way, which I don't see happening for quite some time.
