Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Having used a Powerhouse a few times and feeling some shoulder pain, I went to a Sherpa and found the paddle for me. Tons of bite and no pain. Really does best with an "economy of strokes" paddling style as opposed to a player or double d that seems to respond more to the "flurry of strokes" style. All Werners are tough as nails. Never had one break, though the blades do wear down over time. I held up my well loved carbon sherpa against my new one and it probably had 20-40% less blade area! But it is still kicking and I wouldn't hesitate to take it down the brown...just has a bit less power than it used to. Backcountry's price on this stick cannot be beat.

What can be said about the Nomad? Fast, autoboofer, forgiving, comfy. As an "off the couch" class V boater, I really appreciate the predictability and ability to hold a line through boily, pushy hard rapids. There is a reason Dagger hasn't put out a new creeker in so many years...they nailed it with the Nomad the first time out.
