Hey BC folks, I'm having trouble picking my wider BC skis for this Winter. I've pretty much narrowed it down to K2 HardSide and G3 ZenOxide. I have a pair of K2 BackUps that I love which have made me a K2 believer, but would like to try some fatter boards. I know nothing about G3 save what I've read here. In both cases I'd be buying the 2010/11 models. The conflict is that the G3's are about $100 cheaper. If they were the same price I'd buy the K2's but I hate spending more than I have to. Suggestions?

I bought this bag for my Winter ski tours. Brought it to Norway and it worked great without a tent! It wasn't terribly cold, maybe 15-20deg overnight but I was toasty warm inside. I love the cut. Most mummy bags are a little uncomfortable because I often lay on my side but this bag is perfect. Just enough room to move a bit inside, especially in the toe area, but not too big for a standard size sleeping pad. Not to mention, the price is a big win! Mine was $100.

Great backpack. Very spacious, I brought this pack to Norway for two 3-day backcountry ski tours. Big enough to fit all my ski/camp gear. I especially like the sleeping bag pocket in the bottom which held my big 0-deg bag, air mattress and camp pillow. Very comfortable and stable on my back and there are all sorts of adjustments to customize fit. The pack is very compressible for the quick weekend trips. The raincover is big too, it fit over my sleeping pad, ski poles, ski boots, shovel, and probe, all mounted to the outside of the pack. My only gripe was the lack of clips in the two H2O pockets. When you put your water bladder inside, they sag under their weight which is mildly annoying. But all in all this is a great pack and I'll be no stranger to Deuter for smaller packs as well.
