It is a seat post, it is light, it is black. It however does not have the micro adjustment teeth that almost every other seat post I have ever seen have. Which is why I was buying a replacement, my teeth stripped after a brutal XC day. So, we will have to wait and see how easily the seat angle moves when hitting the single track. Might end up spending $50 on something with teeth...................SMH

I have the X Ultra GTX. Not familiar with the other two, but I will share my thoughts on these. I have had mine for 8 months, and I wear them way to much. They will keep you warm, the Gor-tex does not breathe well, my feet sweat all the time in these even with very thin running socks. The soles are fairly soft and the insoles pack out quickly. I live in a very snowy and wet area and they always keep me dry, although I would recommend gaiters if doing the PCT. Hope this helped some!

Took these bad boys straight out of the box and put in 15 miles of the PCT this weekend! Awesome shoe! Fits true like other Salomon shoes (I have skinny feet). I have had the Wings XT2 GTX before and loved them because of the true running platform and pronation control. These shoes are definitely more "hike" orientated, but none the less performed to my "fast and light" needs. The heel of the shoe is softer than the fore-foot, which suits me well. I crossed a lot of snow and mud and streams and this shoe never lost traction. The toe box has a great reinforced cover, great for kicking rocks you see. The long term testing will tell the truth though, I'll try to update if any issues arise IE. start leaking etc. For now though, they dropped the price, so go on and get you a pair!

Been using the MSR International stoves for a decade plus. Just got a new one cause I like them so much. This is the go anywhere do anything stove. I take it every time I head to the woods, backpacking and dump camping. With some patience and finesse, you can even scramble eggs with this bad boy! Can't wait to take mine across the pond one day, Ireland here I come!
