Familiarity: I've used it several times

The only thing that I would add to the previous reviews is how durable the jacket is. My wife owns the mithril and because of the name I assumed that this jacket would be made with a much thinner material however it is not. Now that we own both jackets I would recommend this jacket over the regular mithril. The only noticeable differences are that the mithril has a fleece lining while the mithrilite has pit zips. Otherwise they are very similar.

This bag is a very good deal at the SAC price however it's not worth the full price or even the 20% off price. It is very light weight and comfortable which is what stoic seems to be going for with this bag. Some items on it are cheaply put together such as the draw cord, and lack of draft collar. I like the side zipper found on most bags is better because you can unzip them and still be covered. With this bag unzipped your skin is exposed to the cold air. I think I am an average temp sleeper ( I don't get cold easily however I'm not super human in the cold) and I got cold at about 28 degrees in light base layers. It seams the feathers are thin in the chest area. Overall you can't beat this bag for the SAC price as long as you don't plan on sleeping in weather below freezing.

We have had this tent for a year and love it. It has withheld a couple of good rain storms with no leaks or problems. One thing I like about this tent is the rain fly stays tight throughout large temperature changes. All my other tents get "saggy" and need tightened after cool weather or rain hits. It is a bit cozy but can definitely fit three. We use it for 2 plus a dog and have plenty of room for gear. I have found you have to be careful on which reviews to take seriously when looking at tents because a tents performance is greatly dependent on whether you properly set it up or not. I always use all the stake out points because you never know when the weather is going to get bad. I have also found its hard to find a tent review that doesn't say the tent is small. I always buy a tent rated for one more person than I intend on using for so I can stretch out.

I"m surprised that anyone would say anything bad about this jacket. This jacket is exactly what it is advertised as. It is waterproof, breathable and really light weight. You shouldn't buy this jacket to keep you warm, it is supposed to be a waterproof shell. It is similar to a gore tex pac lite jacket but much cheaper. This is great backpacking jacket because of its lightweight. It fits exactly like the 3 other Outdoor research jackets I own.
