Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs small

These pants are really incredible. They have a great feel to them. Sport nice deep pockets to make sure nothing accidently falls out. The gusted inseam makes for a really comfortable feel especiallt when doing something active. The little bit of stretch to them is really great if you plan to be doing a lot of bending. I have picked up a pair in every shade that Prana has made in these and they have become the only style of jeans I wear. I have worn these while bouldering, camping, hiking, every day wear and they have held up through it all. The colors you see in the picture are true to color. That being said they do seem to run a bit short in the length. I normally wear a 32/32, in these however I need a 32/34 otherwise they show a good bit of sock. Other than that though they are a fantastic pair of jeans.

This is a truly awesome belay device. I am a very light weight climber so most of the people I climb with out weigh me. I always found myself struggling to maintain good rope control and break control when I belayed with a traditional ATC. I heard a lot of good things about the GriGri but when I was first starting to climb I didn't want to spend that kind of money. So I decided to give this a try. First time using it I was astonished at how well it worked and how much easier belaying became for me.

I constantly get asked now wherever I am climbing "how do you like that device?" My response is always an instant "I LOVE IT". The only complaint I ever had about the Smart is the inability to top belay from an anchor. Because of that I have since upgraded to the Smart Alpine but can't stop singing the praises of the Mammut Smart devices.
