All of the Garmonts are soft, way too soft for my tastes. When comparing to other bootmakers, the Garmonts lack features and stability. For the same money, you can get much higher quality with other makers. It's hard to find shops where I live that carry tele gear, so I was stuck buying Garmonts and have regretted the purchase. Also, they designed for a high volume (thick and wide) foot, so buy small and pray.

Demo'd these in Whistler...a big disappointment. They were so-so in dense powder and awful on the chopped up firm trails where the chatter was almost unbearable. They're fantastic on smooth trails and corduroy, however. If your a groomer skier, these are ok. There are not an all mountain ski. Meant for fine ladies only, not tomboys. Just sayin'.

I haven't yet found conditions that these skis can't only handle, but overcome. During our horrible, icy, skritchy east coast season, these skis have been bomb proof...extremely solid and predictable. What few hours of powder we had, they performed as expected, but where they have shined for me is how they rise through the crud to make every run unbelievably smooth even when Mother Nature did not play nice. I've demo'd most of the top of the line All Mountain skis. Give me Rossi S7s in the bowls and Auras for everything and I do mean everything else. Most Valuable Ski in my quiver.
