I found a travel mug that works nearly as well as a thermos. This mug will keep your coffee/hot chocolate/tea hot for hours even out in the elements. The 12 hour time is a little exaggerated. I would say it keeps liquids hot for 6-8 hours. I had to pick up a couple so I can use it daily.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I picked up these socks for riding and also for winter fishing. They are warm and comfy as Merino should be. Just the trick for the river. However, when I ride with these they tend to slip down my leg which can be frustrating. They are tall enough to go over the calf, however could use a little more elasticity in my opinion

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is one of the best items I have picked up from Backcountry.com. It is definitely warm and roomy. For those in Utah winter of 2013 has proven to be pretty chilly. I wear this jacket nearly every day with just a t-shirt under and I am just fine doing my normal running around. The jacket is a little boxy, and tends to run large. I normally wear a large t-shirt, hoodie, etc and I returned this item in large in favor of a medium. It works great for layering under a shell up on the mountain or as a going out and running around jacket by itself

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

"This jacket is great its fairly light weight and extremely warm but wont make you hot and sweaty. I used it recently on a 3 degree fishing trip and it kept me toasty warm. It's also a great waterproof jacket. I spill coffee on myself on a regular basis and this thing has yet to leak or stain, it works like a champ."
