First of all, I'm always impressed by the quality of the merchandise that Backcountry carries. I had been wanting to replace a pair of flip flops with arch support. The Sole came highly recommended on several websites so I thought I'd give them a try.

They are constructed well and look comfortable, but are very narrow at the top of the foot (I must have a wider toe box) but I always wear the same size shoe but a medium width. These tend to run narrow.

Unfortunately the Sole won't work for me; I have to return them and will try something else. The gear experts know just how to handle this problem which I appreciate. So 4 stars for the gear guru's and 2 stars for the Sole's.

This is a great footbed. Sorry to see it is being discontinued. Hey, if I've got my info wrong, please let me know. I can't find any more of these footbeds and in my humble opinion, they are the most comfortable, sturdy footbeds for people who don't use or need orthotics yet want extra support and cushioning for their feet. I like them better than any other pair of foot support or cushioning system I've tried. If you can find your size, buy them!!!!!

I am a woman who purchased the Men's style 66 North Iceland Stormur fleece jacket. With that in mind, for some men, this jacket might be perfect. I loved the warmth, but the fit wasn't right for my body. Too bad. I think that most men's jackets are better made than the female versions and I was not wrong about the Stormur. I agree with the review that said this fleece is over-priced, though. I might try this brand again when I have more choices in style.

My last two Arc'teyx reviews have been placed at the lower end of the stars. This jacket is a warm fleece which is all I can really say about its assets. The fit is very slim; the sleeves were much too tight and uncomfortable to the point of constriction under the armpits. I may be finished with the Arc'teryx brand. I also found the fleece to be itchy.

As previously reviewed, I generally love all things Arc'teryx. This jacket was a replacement in size for the one purchased last season but not yet warn. This jacket is made differently from the one I reviewed on March 21, 2008. The reason is that it is made in China. The other Arc'teryx one was made elsewhere. BAD MOVE, ARC'TERYX!!!!! There is a change in the quality. Overall most people will probably be ok with this jacket. I'm not sure if I will keep this one. If other Arc'teryx jackets are going to be made in China, I will stop buying them. All of my other Arc'teryx merchandise has been manufactured in Canada and I can tell that the difference. Sad. I have purchased 4 jackets from the Arc'teryx brand and this is the first one I don't like.

I love the Arc'teryx brand! The quality is superb. This jacket fits well and is keeping me warm and dry(even though I don't live in freezing temps. unless I'm out at night).

The styling is perfect. I am a small woman and like my clothes fitted at the shoulders and wrists. Usually I have to have everything altered, but not with this jacket.

I own 3 Arc'teryx jackets for different purposes. I think this one will be my favorite.

As always, the Gearheads at this site have helped me find the perfect jacket for my needs. I couldn't have found this without their help.

I've had a hard time finding a pair of gloves that are pleasant to look at, yet are warm, comfortable, stylish, and not super bulky. The Prophet Gloves are the answer. They are terrific for everyday wear and nubile enough to use while driving or trying to get change from my pocket. A big thumbs up to Outdoor Research for this pair of gloves.

These gloves are too bulky for everyday use. The leather is ok and so was the fit. I was hoping to wear them for walking outdoors and driving because my hands get cold. The gloves were too big to wear under my winter jacket sleeves and did not work well for driving or holding a hot cup of coffee while out doing errands.

Once I returned these, I purchased the Outdoor Research Prophet Gloves. I am a women with small hands, but needed the Medium size. So far, I'm happy I made the exchange.

I've purchased four prior Mountain Hardware Windstopper products several years ago. When I saw this red color I thought I'd add it to my collection. This jacket is poorly made; the quality is "cheesy". It is not made in the same location as the previous Mt. Hardware products, so that might account for its lack of warmth and lightness. I will probably stop buying Mountain Hardware as a result of seeing what they are making now. I would recommend buying something from another company.

I love most Patagonia products and have worn synchilla jackets for many years. I purchased this item, and found it to be lacking, but only because it was too short. I'm a petite woman but prefer to wear jackets and sweatshirts that come to my hips. This hoody fit at the waist. It was a nice hoody for the money but if you prefer a longer one, try the Mountain Hardware Poodle looking one. It's equally warm and cozy.

I have been a Patagonia lover of synchilla for at least 20 years. This hoody is warm but is cut small. It fit my upper body, but did not come down to the hips. I prefer jackets that are longer because they are warmer.

If length is not an issue for you, then do buy this jacket because it feels warm and cozy.
