these shoes are great - comfortable, sturdy and good for wide foot. Great price for full goretex and scarpa quality. Only comment is that the sole is not vibram so wears quite easily, especially on adirondack rock! upside is the grip is extremely good, but wears more quickly than vibram. Im still giving it 5 stars.

ive only used these for two days but in variable light conditions they were excellent. i didnt even notice the goggles changing - basically your vision remains fanastic no matter what the visibility. I dont find them too dark - they have improved this in the 2010 version. i dont think the perpherial vision is any better than my old goggles - but the photochromic lens is the real winner. Im very satisfied.

Billed as the market leader for all mountain skis, I've found the AC 40s very good. Best edge control of any ski I have tried. They are a very stiff ski - not very responsive for short turns or in tight places (I used to ski the K2 Recon and preferred them for ease of short radius turn initiation). Get spanked if you drop into the back seat. Still pretty good in alta powder. Quite a heavy ski when combined with the piston bindings. I got them for $699 from backcountry.com end of year sale and at that price they are a bargain given their versatility in almost any conditions fromm pow, to crud to ice.
