Captain Disaster's Bio

I live out of my truck & tents. If I could live in the mountains constantly I totally would. I love waking up in the morning getting a fire going and listening for the coffee to perk. The perfect camp site is anywhere with a water source, an area to set up a slackline, a few rocks to build a rocking fire pit, and of course the amazing view that almost any place in west provides.

Love this Jacket!

This thing is one of the greatest pieces of gear I own. I wear it constantly and it works in nearly all weather conditions. If it's slightly chilly outside throw it on and you're golden. If it's freezing throw it on zip it all the way up and you're still the perfect temp. I'm generally always cold and this thing keeps me warm with only a t-shirt on underneath. On super cold nights I can even get by with a wool base layer and the Monkey Man jacket. I only wish it had a wind proof interior, but throw a light shell on over the top or under and you're good to go. Stylish & warm...what more can you ask for??? (In this photo I was getting ready for bed & I was sleeping under the stars, so I wanted to stay "HOT" in my bag so that explains all the layering)

This Tent is amazing! It is the greatest 4 season tent I've ever owned, my only complaint was with the tent stakes. I snapped the heads off two stakes the first night out, which I though was a bit lame. However, the tent is amazing. It holds up in snow, ice, wind, and whatever else you can throw at it! Definitely recommend this tent.

Note to Mountain Hardwear: Let's make some bombproof stakes to go with this bombproof tent. :-)
