Caitlin's Bio

I'm an outdoorsy girl that loves to do/try it all! I've been skiing since I was 2 and snowboarding since I was 10, I love hiking, camping, snowshoeing and trying new things. I'm a gear whore who's lucky enough to have snagged a job with this company to put my gear obsession to use!

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: True to size

This suit just showed up today and it is bad ass! Colors are great, the embroidery of the tiger is excellent. My only problem is I have a freakishly long torso so when I put it on, the strappy part that goes over your chest let a wee bit too much hang out. Shame. I was super excited to rock this one! Looks like I'll have to stick to bikinis.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

This top is absolutely adorable! It can be worn either belted or loose and it looks great. I ordered it in the Sea Spray Tie Dye and it looks exactly as it does in the picture. I'm probably going to have to order the other color as well just because it's so darned cute!
Warning though: It's hand wash only.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Need to travel frequently because your significant other lives a thousand miles away? Then this is the bag for you! Perfect size for long weekends (if you tend to overpack like I do). For more skilled packers, I'd say you could get 4-5 days out of this bad boy! Fits perfectly in overhead compartments as well!

I love being able to throw this shirt on over a little sun dress or go all out Canadian tuxedo style with some jean shorts. My only problem with this shirt is that it's a little small in the shoulders while the rest of it is a little on the big size. I do have some burly man shoulders though.

Great Pack but I wish it had more pockets...
4 5

This pack is a great size for day trips, it has a few gear loops on it so you can strap extra things to the outside if necessary. There is also an internal pocket that fits my goggles perfectly. There are also two extra interior pockets, one that would hold a hydration bladder perfectly, and another that fits a shovel and probe. Here's a picture of the ski carry.

These pants are wonderfully soft, the fabric is a "sueded micropoly/spandex blend" They are definitely slimmer fitting, but they flare out towards the bottom. I'm 5'6 and don't have abnormally short legs or anything, but I do find that these are a little on the long side and the slit up the back definitely doesn't help with keeping the cuff of the pants from getting stepped on. Another thing is they don't have the design printed on the lower leg as shown in the picture. I am keeping them, however... They're extremely comfortable =)

Definitely puts a stupid grin on MY face!

SO much fun! I just got these bad boys and have a couple of days on them and so far I have no complaints whatsoever! They really are the do-it-all ski! Great energy into and out of turns on groomers, nice early rise tip and tail with regular camber underfoot. I'm 5'6" and have been skiing on and off (snowboard when I get bored with skiing) since I was two and I went with the 177cm length. I'm still getting used to skiing something with early rise and I do find myself getting a bit backseat sometimes, just make sure you figure out the weighting on these skis (if you're not used to early rise) before you do anything crazy!

Here's a picture of the tips of the skis so you can get an idea how early the rise actually is.

Crowbar for a smaller face.
4 5

I got these goggles to replace my old Anon Figments that were falling apart due to me changing the lenses so often. I have always been a fan of Oakley Crowbars (I've had a few pairs in the past), but decided to try something new, and the Elevates caught my eye. Got them, and they are basically like a hybrid of the A frames and the Crowbars. They're for a smaller face (borderline too small for my own face) than crowbars. They also would work great with a helmet because the ends of the straps attach to the frame with a piece that can move to compensate for the extra bulk of a helmet, or compress down to fit nicely without a helmet. If you have a larger face/head, I wouldn't recommend these goggles, but they're great for most girls or smaller guys!

EDIT: The picture shown is me wearing the goggles with a RED Mutiny II Helmet. No gaper gap!

I got this jacket as a mid layer for really frigid days, but today I managed to forget my shell when I went skiing, so I wore this as an outer layer with a Norrona Warm2 fleece underneath and was shocked at how windproof this is! After one run I was sweating like crazy in 30 degree weather. The outer fabric is nicely water resistant, but I wouldn't recommend wearing it in heavy snow or rain. It is also extremely light weight as well as compressible. My only problem with this jacket is the cut, it's really puffy in the middle and tends to ride up a little bit at the bottom so it makes it look like I've got a gut. Cut aside, this jacket is awesome.

LOVE this sweatshirt. It is long enough to the point where it EASILY goes past my bum, and I love the big collar on it as well as the contrasting billabong on the left side of the collar. It also has thumb holes in the sleeves, they're a little tight to actually use, but they come in handy when putting on a jacket so the sleeves don't slide up. Definitely a new favorite sweatshirt though.
