Fit: True to size

I bought two colors and they are definitely my go-to light polo's. They have a comfortable amount of stretch and are extremely breathable. Just the right amount of casual that doesn't look like you're going to a boating/golf club. Wish they were still in stock I would easily buy 3 or 4 more.

For someone that is slightly OCD about being organized this helps curb my anxiety.

I picked this up after a recommendation from a friend in mid 2011.

I have taken it all over the world with me and has always been there with my travel documents and extra passport pictures, pens and spare/various currencies.

Lowa you messed up by changing this model!

These are favorite boots that I've ever owned. I have operated in these boots for almost two and a half years now...yes, over two years with the same boot...in Germany (all over western/eastern Europe in general) and now in the Hindu Kush Mountain System and these boots have carried every step of the way!!

The Gore-Tex has held up great and the construction of the boot itself is superb. A few months ago I scoured the internet to find another pair of the Brown version in my size (not on Backcountry.com unfortunately) as a backup, because I know these will eventually be walked out of. Hasn't happened yet, but I imagine that it's inevitable.

I initially bought these after testing these and a pair of Asolo?s. The Lowa toe-box agreed with me more, so I went with them and haven?t looked back since. One of the best footwear purchases I?ve ever made!!!!! I mean it.

So right now I'm living in the Hindu Kush system and I do a fair amount of walking. That said, I have crushed mountains and ridge-lines and maneuvered ...and i guess you can say quickly scrambled in these boots.

My initial impression when I first put the shoe on was that they were snug but the length was true. They were not uncomfortable, but just a little snug, so I returned them and went with a .5 size up and they fit great. For sizing reference: A pet peeve of mine is when people post about sizing and don't list there comparable sizes. I?m 5?8? and 155lbs. I comfortably wear a 9 in Lowa Zypher (my favorite boots-until they recently changed the design), a 9.5(42.5) in Salewa Snow Trainer Insulated, and an 8R in Belleville. I do not have a "high volume" foot at all. On the contrary, I have a pretty bony foot that is very prone to the cold at the slightest whisk of a breeze.

So besides needing to return these for .5 size larger, the quality of these boots are great. I definitely like them.

One complaint though, is the advertized ?Vibram Icefriction sole provides unmatched grip on snow and ice? seems a bit gimmicky to me. I have still slipped on ice and can?t say that I notice a difference in these soles and any other sole on ice?maybe it just me though. This is the only reason the boots didn't receive 5 stars.

The Vibram rubber has held up well on the rocky terrain in the mountains. The Gore-Tex and insulation have definitely been worth there reputation, since my little feet haven?t had a cold numb toe yet.

This towel is awesome! It's not like other shammy material towels that stick to you as you're trying to dry off. It's a great backpacking towel and packs small enough that doesn't take up much space. If you want to be able to wrap the towel around your waist do not buy smaller than a large.

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small

So right now I'm living in the Hindukush system and I do a fair amount of walking. That said, I have only worn these for quick walks to and from...

After mixed reviews about running small and fitting true, I decided to order a .5 size large (I average an 8.5 to 9...so I went with a 9 or 42) and thought that that would be fine.

My initial impression when I first put the shoe on was that they were snug/narrow but the length was true. They were not uncomfortable and knowing that approach shoes should be just that...snug...I decided to keep them. After about a week or so and 8-10 hours a day in these shoes, my pinky toes hurt to the point that my entire foot felt like it was in a vice. I do not have a "high volume" foot at all. On the contrary, I have a pretty bony foot that is very prone to the cold at the slightest whisk of a breeze.

So besides needing to return these for maybe another .5 size larger than I have now, the quality of these approach shoes are impressive. I definitely like them. The wrap around lacing system is genius and the sole and rand are solid. I fully recommend these, just go a size up.

For sizing reference: A pet peeve of mine is when people complain about sizing and don't list there comparable sizes. I?m 5?8? and 155lbs. I comfortably wear a 9 in Lowa Zypher (my favorite boots-until they recently changed the design), a 9.5(42.5) in Salewa Snow Trainer Insulated, and an 8R in Belleville. I bought a 42 in these and plan to switch them out for a 42.5...pending Backcountry.com approving my return, of course.

I wear a size 7 hat and have a more narrow face. I love the way my Flak Jackets fit, but I really like these and want something less sporty for everyday wear. Any recommendations? I don't have an Oakley store near me (I'm overseas)...so I usually rely on the return policy if things don't work out.

These pants are awesome. They feel super durable and fit great. I'm 5'8" and 150 and they are not too baggy, which is a typical problem with sturdy built pants. They have a 16" leg opening at the ankle. I would say that the waist is snug and fits very true to size...so if you're anticipating putting on a few in the mid-section, be careful on size ordering.

I like this shirt, but it fits a bit on the smaller size. I tend to run into this a lot with shirts...being in between a Small or Medium, I'm 5'8" 150lbs and usually wear button down shirts in a Small quite comfortably. Occasionally I run into an issue with button down wear it's too tight across the back...which is what happened here. Honestly, it fit great when I was just standing there, but as soon as I would bring my arms up it was a tighter hug on my back than I would like. If your not planning to be too active in this shirt then get it, because it does look great!!

Great shirt, but it fits a bit on the smaller size. I tend to run into this a lot with shirts...being in between a Small or Medium, typically TNF runs big and I'm safe with buying a Small. I'm 5'8" 150lbs and usually wear TNF t-shirts in a Small quite comfortably. This shirt however, was pretty snug all around and wouldn't be something I would want to walk around in all day. I also wasn't a huge fan of the oversized plastic snap-button look...it looks a little cheap and cheesy. The zip pocket isn't tape welded to the fabric on the inside, so its just floating there like a front pocket on a pair of pants...this didn't leave for a very presentable chest image. The pocket issue however, may have been adverted if I sized up to a Medium.

I wish they had it in stock in a size Medium. I recommend sizing up on this.

This pack has fit a perfect niche, which i was lacking in the carry department. It works great as a weekend pack...I'm able to fit a few small meals, a change of clothes/shoes and a few pairs of socks and underwear...then a couple small random items in the top flap. I will say, however, i wish the top flap was a a little larger...once you stuff the Fluid to the brim the top doesn't feel quite as confidently closed. I was originally skeptical of the new hook closer but it never failed me...and if the pack was only about half full then i could just hook it to the top loop and cinch it down tighter. I am a huge fan of the side compression straps...they make tightening on the move a pretty easy. I would agree with a few other review that the hip belt pockets should open and close in the opposite directions, though.

these boots are great! I just took them on a two week trip to Eastern Europe and they handled everything well. The weather was constantly changing from sunny and warm to cold and rainy and I never even bothered switching these out with another pair. I do, however, wish i would have ordered a half size larger (my normal size)....they weren't available at the time of purchase and I tried on a friends boot (different model Keen), of the same size, and his fit. I guess i didn't take into consideration that he has been walking in his for a while and the are well broken in. All in all...very tough. Still lightweight enough to remain comfortable after a long day.

I love my pearl izumi peak xc's...i'm on my second pair now. they do run a bit on the smaller side in my opinion...i wear a 9 in asics and needed a 9.5 to get the same fit. the laces are a bit long, but outside of that, i can't think of anything wrong with these shoes. i've ran in everything from 5k's to marathon's and they've held up great. i'm a fan for life now. 'if you're not sure if you're jogging or running, run faster.' haha classic!
