Pants are much more durable than typical convertible pants on the market. The fit/cut is different. I am 5'10", 170, 32 waist,24" thigh. I purchased the Medium. The thigh is snug, the waist is big.

What I like:There are no belt loops that create pressure points when wearing a pack.I like the cargo pockets for backpacking. Unlike most convertible pants, these are far more durable and have a wider temperature range.

What I don't like:The amount of material below the knee is annoying when walking and ridiculous in the wind. It does however allow me to remove the legs without removing my shoes.I hate the Velcro button inside the fly! I cut it out because every time I use the fly it re-attaches to other parts.I don't care for the Velcro pocket closers. The ones on the cargo pockets allow you to access the pockets without detaching the Velcro. Meaning you can loose stuff like cell phones, cameras out of the pocket when sitting.
