Back and forth between Alaska and Utah...yeah, its a long drive
OK....this is round 2 with Ruffwear collars. I keep giving them a chance because I love the style, but unfortunately the quality is lacking. I tried the regular Knot-a-Collar first but was disappointed when a skinny little collar with a tiny buckle came for my 75lb lab. Not only was it flimsy, but it was SO LOUD because her tag would hit against the ring for her leash. Ding, Ding, Ding was all we heard, so we would take it off of her just to get rid of the sound....um, why have a collar then?? I saw this one and decided to give it a chance because the tag attaches differently which supposedly cuts down on sound. Not so! Its just as loud and no matter how often we tighten it on her, it loosens itself constantly so she can slip out of it. I'm still giving this 3 stars because I love the style and I will keep trying Ruffwear collars until I find the right one!
I LOVE these sunglasses. I was looking for a pair that wouldn't make me look bug-eyed or like I was trying to hide from the paparazzi and these fit the bill. The only problem I have with them is that they are a little too big to stay on top of my head when I'm inside....they fall off when I look up or down. Came with a nice case to keep them safe.
This was way too small to fit half of the crap that I would normally hold in a wallet. The overall quality was "meh" and I can see where the credit cards would slide around as stated by another reviewer. If you are looking for a cheap wallet to hold your $20 bill and ID(and thats it), then this is the way to go. If not, keep shopping.
I bought this to give as a gift but wasn't completely stoked when it arrived. You can BARELY make out the Element sign(if you squint really hard) on the Charcoal color and the material felt a bit scratchy. It just looked/felt cheap. Had to return.
They either ran out of -OR- discontinued my husband's favorite MHW shirt, so I ordered this one for him for Christmas. He loves it! Fits true to size(a bit long, which I like), super soft like his last one, and seriously- you can't beat MHW quality. You just can't.
Pros: lightweight, small, easy to use, doesn't take up much room in a pack, great price.
Cons: Squinting through ONE eye for too long gives me a headache:) I decided that binoculars are for the car and monoculars are for backpacking.
First off, I have to say that these mittens work PERFECT for what I purchased them for: shoveling snow. They are super warm and cozy and after 3 hours outside, they stayed dry. My only problems with them were small: I really didn't like the inner glove (I bought a mitten, right??) and I wouldn't recommend using them with poles. Too frustrating.
But like I said, those things are tiny, teeny problems compared with how freaking warm they are. I would buy them again and again.
I bought this for my niece who is 2.5. I was a little worried on the sizing as she is pretty small for her age, but it fit perfect! Of course she won't wear it for long, but she does look super cute when she lets us put it on her. She loves the ears!
Very warm with a super long fit= happy customer! Love the logo and it fit true to size.
I really do love this hoodie! I love the colors, the fit(super long) and it is so comfortable. The fabric was a little thinner than I thought it would be but I plan to wear it as a layer anyway.
I bought this in the Moss Cove and REALLY did try to give it a chance as I loved the color and design, but it was just too short (which drives me nuts)and thin for me to rationalize keeping it. I also had problems with the zipper- it seemed really stiff. In the end, I returned it.
I bought this sweater a few weeks ago and am now toying with the idea of buying another in a different color! Unbelievably soft on the inside- I have even been sleeping in it because I never want to take it off at the end of the day. I love the bright colors- I bought the coral reef and it fit true to size. The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because after only a couple of uses, it started to get those little fuzzy balls on it which drives me crazy as I haven't even washed it yet. It might have to be my sleeping sweater if it gets too many, but for me, this sweater is so dang soft and warm that I really don't care:)
I have been looking for a new winter shoe for the past two years without much luck- they were all either too uncomfortable, didn't keep the water out as they claimed, or broke down after just a few uses. I decided to give these a shot and was yet again completely impressed with Keen! They are warm, completely waterproof, comfortable and held up to Alaska's winter conditions- trudging through the ice and snow in -1 degree temps. I was extremely impressed with the traction- I am normally sliding all over the place but will be no longer with my new shoes.Keen didn't skimp on any of the materials or construction either- these things are solid which gives me the hope that they may last more than a couple of seasons.
My only suggestion is to size up: I am normally a 7.5 in Keens, but these are made to fit snug so I returned them for an 8.
The orange looks awesome and I LOVE how lightweight this headlamp is. Mine have always tended to be too heavy and bulky, making it difficult to stay on comfortably without constantly re-adjusting. Extra long burn time is definitely a plus! Worth the money for sure.
I was not very impressed with this. It just tasted like warm jam right out of the jar. Way too sweet for me and I have a pretty big sweet tooth. Compared to the other Mountain House options, this just wasn't worth the money in my opinion.
I would eat this regularly for breakfast- very, very tasty! I prefer it cold. I only wish this came with 2 servings because it definitely wasn't enough for 2 hungry hikers. I like pairing this with the eggs w/ham and peppers.
Pretty darn good for freeze-dried eggs. A lot more flavor than the bacon version. Make sure you drain the extra water. Very good when paired with the granola w/blueberries and milk.
I read a lot of reviews that said this was THE BEST Mountain House meal, but I still like the Beef Stroganoff and Spaghetti MUCH better. Too many beans and a little too spicy for me.
Let's be honest, freeze-dried eggs do NOT sound good. But these are actually not too bad(especially after a long hike when you are starving). Make sure you drain the extra water. I still prefer the Ham/Pepper version of this because it has a lot more flavor but you could add some pepper/salt to spice this up a bit. For two people, I like to pair one bag of eggs with one bag of the granola w/milk and blueberries for a great breakfast that provides lots of energy.
I'll start out with the things I liked about this:
- it has vegetables
- the noodles were very soft
- healthier alternative to some of the other MH meals
Now the things I didn't like
- way too much water that doesn't get soaked up
- pretty bland flavor
I think I will try this again as a lunch instead of dinner entree because it just doesn't fill you up like the other meals do. I might also try draining out a bit of the water before eating.
