stoic anorak

stoic anorak on Baldy. Tour softshell pants on bottom. This is the perfect midlayer, wore it while hiking up in the cold, zips down low enough for ventilation when it gets warm, zip it up and put on the hood when you stop or get in to a cold spot. Kept it on with just a wool shirt underneath from our 6am start all the way to the summit.

These pants rock! Got them about 2 weeks ago, wore them to Bridge to Nowhere this weekend. There were about 8 thigh to knee-deep water crossings along the way, and they are water-resistant enough to be dry when I got out of the water each time.
Besides the water it was a warm day and they breathed well, I didnt feel like ripping them off at all. Lots of yuccas overgrown on that trail and they didnt tear up the pants at all.
I want to get the shorts!
I usually wear a 32-33 waist, 30length and the Mediums fit great, a liiiitle bit long.
I would say get them, but you cant! Stoic needs to make these things.

Perfect set for 2!
You get mugs, eating bowls, and the pot. The foon's that came with mine were crap, one was partly broken, so I left those out (can't remember what I did with them) but I use the light-my-fire-sporks with them (they do not fit inside).
The set works great, very pleased with the non-stick abilities, it works for pasta, get some angelhair or something thin to cook fast, the strainer works great. I also cooked the backpacker biscuits and gravy, where you boil the gravy, and drop biscuit dough in there and it cooks -one of the best meals of my life, and the non-stick performed great afterwards.
Pocket rocket fits inside if you do it right, and the whole thing is light-weight!
