Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Took this beast swimming and afterwords I realized it was a saltwater pool. The headlamp didn't miss a beat, later the bulb over the shower stopped working and this headlamp got put to use again. Says on package don't expose to saltwater and while I don't reccomend it, it did no harm to mine.

Bought this for my dad, it scrunched his mammoth rectangular Coleman sleeping bag down to an acceptable size when packing up for a trip. It has three straps goin down the length of the bag and one vertical strap. If it had two verticals straps I'd given it 5 stars. Picture compares the large green compression bag to the extra large orange cyclone compression bag.

I payed half the price at my local REI. This plate is great for all you backcountry goers. It's a plate, but it doubles as a frisbee. No joke this thing flys like a dream.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

In comparison this bag has more loft than my stoic 850 fill 30 degree, but with a liner I believe my stoic can do everything this bag could do in a lighter smaller package. I decided to return this one and look into a western mountaineering bag to fill my niche in a light winter down bag. USA!

I just received the large Alps Mountaineering compression bag. I'm pleased with the look and perceived durability of the product. It packs my alps mountaineering crescent lake 0 degree synthetic mummy bag to about the size of a regulation basketball. Feels really durable, and comes with alps mountaineering rock solid warranty promise. Couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase! Also, backcountry got my order out to me in 3 days using standard shipping ,during the holidays! As always , I'm really impressed with backcountry.com

The reactor extreme is a good liner, I was hesitant at first but when paired with a sleeping bag it adds warmth for sure. By itself it hardly does anything so it would be decent for summer. Packs to about the size of an eno double nest
