Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lorpen makes my favorite socks ever. I am very picky about my socks. They have to fit right, wear well, and make my feet feel liberated vs. constricted. Lorpen fits the bill. I am an avid hiker and I rock sandals with socks (look out ladies) more then full coverage shoes and everything Lorpen holds up well and feels great with no stink.

For me personally this knife ranks as one of the most handy blades I have owned and certainly the most handy folder. I carry this daily because it light and isn't too thick for the pocket. In addition to locking open, it also locks closed which is a great feature when you have it in or around thin backpacks and tents.

I have had mine for over 5 years and it is still sharp and the assisted open is still very snappy.

If I lost mine or it was damaged (which is unlikely) I would replace it immediately.

I like the build and feel of this thermos but it isn't all that great at keeping things warm for any kind of extended periods. I get about 3 hours if I preheat it - otherwise 2 hours if it is sitting out at room temp. To keep anything hot beyond, preheat it according to Stanley's instructions, and wrap it up in something.
Other than that, I like the size & the weight is good, the cuppy lid is built to last and the two I have are entirely leak proof. If you need to keep something hot for a couple hours this is a great way to go at a decent price.

Bought the Princeton Tec Amp 3.0 on SAC for $7.49, for that price, it is a fair light. Had I paid anything close to retail on this it wouldn't have gotten the liberal 3 star rating it is getting.

SAC displayed an image for the Amp 5.0 which comes with a clip... in hind site, I prefer it without, but I could see this being a gripe for some folks.

I ordered two, as backup for the glove box and night time dog walks when I don't feel like slipping a headlamp on. Also thought it would be a decent backpacking backup but I don't trust it for that. Battery installation is a pain, and I wouldn't want to try it with gloves or in an emergency situation.

If you find this on deal, and need something weather resistant for dog duty get it. If you want a dependable flashlight for emergency situations then look elsewhere.

This thing boils water very quickly. With the flash you have a bit more control over the heat than many reviews would lead one to believe. I was able to simmer noodles and cook dehydrated beans on a recent trip and I had no burning or sticking. The Piezo ignition works great and the unit is very compact and fairly light.

I purchased separately the french press and that was just the icing on the cake for me. Hot coffee & Yerba Mate in the morning was a great way to start our days in the back country.

I would recommend this product to any backpacker looking to streamline their rig, or folks like me who bought it to upgrade from power bars and trail mix.

These are good sunglasses for your athletic or semi-athletic endeavors. I use them for cycling and golf personally and love the way they fit and stay on without feeling like a clamp. Sweat away, they will not slip off. The optics are clear and crisp and offer good coverage. They are not something I would wear causally - from a 'style' standpoint, but for hitting the links or the trail, they are great.
