I need a ski that lets me float better in the sidecountry and glades but one that still lets me hit up the groomers that take me there. I mainly ski at Baker and Crystal in WA when I’m at school so I need to be able to stay above the Northwest ‘creat. When I go home, the ski needs to be able to be light enough that I don’t get annoyed with ‘um when I hike up to Kachina Peak at Taos (or King and Queens at Crystal). Looking at either the Liberty Helixes or the K2 Coombacks. Any help would be great.

I’m looking at some new skis to compete with the Northwest ‘crete but still versatile enough to deal with getting to and from inbound hikes and lighter stuff in New Mexico and Colorado. Looking at the Coombacks, K2 Obsethed, Liberty Helix, and Liberty Hazmats. I mainly hit up inbound hikes to shoots and steeps and try and find side stashes and empty glades, but just got back from a 6 day backcountry hike trip so the Coombacks mounted with like a light AT binding seem pretty tempting. Any help or preferences with these skis would bb great.
