Benjamin's Bio

I've been snowboarding since 1990, although not nearly as often, long, or as well as the past 5 years. I live to ride, especially powder when I can make it out west. Hoping to fulfill my lifetime goal of snowboarding on all 7 continents, plus at least one heli-drop. Avid disc-golfer as well. Mountain-bike for staying fit in the off-season and getting outside. Pray for snow!

I am now an official convert to longboarding. For 08/09 I purchased a Rad-Air Tanker 200cm and mounted it with Catek FR2 EVO's. Using the new Vans Contra BOA boots for support. Like much of my gear, none of this is sold on here to review, but is all excellent. My last setup, for contrast, was a 06/07 Ride Yukon 168, Ride SPi, and Vans Fargo BOA. Also rocking a 09/10 Never Summer Titan TX 169 with 08/09 Ride CAD bindings.

I just started sport climbing, but am familiar with gear from being a zipline guide. This is a great package to start with. Harness is light and pretty comfortable. ATC is solid. Only complaint so far is the chalk bag is size medium for all packages, including the xl I purchased. Still a solid setup and great deal!

I have the half-finger version of these and loved them. I used mine as a zipline guide all summer and they held up moderately well until doing some mach-chicken tandems. The mesh makles them super comfy and keeps you from sweating, both of which were appreciated in the summer heat. They made it all season but sadly needed some duct-tape alterations to finish it out.

I got the 3-pack of varying sizes. The bleeder valves make things super easy to compress, but are also the weakest point....be sure to avoid crushing them or they cease to function. Stoic should consider plastic coated brass like Big Agnes uses to avoid the issue. Other than that, these are a solid dry/compression sack for any need.
