I'm currently stuck in the city and the only thing that keeps me focused through my school work is knowing that my next trip is just around the corner. I love the beauty of the natural earth, there is nothing better than breaking free of the stress and structure of jobs and school and hustle and bustle of city life, to be free in the mountains and waters that are rough and rugged!

The women's muira's are the best shoe for slab and face climbs. The rubber is super sticky, the heel is super grippy on heel-hooks, and the arch is nice and high. The padding in the heel makes a huge difference in the fit of the shoe. I have several guy friends that wear the women's shoe because the fit is so good. The aggressive downturn of the shoe also is really nice and the big toe box means you can size down quite a bit. I wear a 8 1/5 street size and I think my 37 Muira's are comfy and maybe a half size too big.

That said, these are not my fav shoes for crack climbing especially in places where the sharp rock eats up the rubber.

Happy climbing!

These shorts are great. They are well made and very comfortable. They become a bit loose and no longer sit on my natural waist after wearing which is slightly annoying when climbing because a belt isn't really preferable under a harness. Despite that, I think they are an excellent choice if you are a chick looking for a pair of shorts to climb or hike in.

This pair does have that very same problem. I've had mine for about a month now and already they are starting to get holes in them. The soles are very sturdy, it's a shame that they have to go to waste because the mesh wont hold up. I was hoping to use them as my trail running shoes, but it looks like they won't make it to the summer.

I love this bag for a few reasons. There is actually a nice concentration of at the head and feet and it is snuggly warm. I used this on part of the Appalachian Trail and it was by far the most comfortable sleeping bag I have ever used especially since I am allergic to actual down.
