BDwrote a review of Burton Ruckus Flannel Hooded Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's on December 3, 2012
Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a great product. I bought the bright green version and wore it to work today and about five people complimented it.
It's extremely comfortable, feels very durable, and sits nicely on the body.
And it's long. I wrote to ask the lengths on four models of shirts as I am tall and shirts come untucked when I'd rather they not. Backcountry had someone check the lengths on four shirts for me and the Burton came in at 31". And...it does not come untucked! I was kneeling down, putting my arms over my head, all sorts of things I do in my work - and the shirt did not come untucked all day. Awesome, and more rare for someone 6'4" then some may think.
The package also came when anticipated, so the whole experience with Backcountry and Burton gets a very high recommendation from me.
One caveat that may go without saying - the way the flannel is cut may not match the photo online. For some reason I really love the way the flannel matches with the design on the online photo, and the model I received is cut differently. I suppose this is just the way it works in the industry - that the fabrics are cut as they are cut, and the shirts will all be somewhat different.
I've only wore it once, so I cannot vouch for it's actual durability, but the shirt feels very sturdy - but at the same time it isn't hard and uncomfortable.
I'm already planning on buying the red one next. I'm thankful to Backcountry and Burton for bringing me the best plaid shirt experience I have had to date.
