MacGivor's Bio

I have way too much gear!!! You might say I was a gear head before becoming a sales rep for a ski company. Its ridiculous how much gear my housemate (he works for Oakley) and myself have between the two of us....8 bicycles, 2 motorcycles, lets say in the neighborhood of 15 pairs of skis and 10 snowboards (this does not count the 100 or so pairs of skis and 50 snowboards sitting in my garage that are samples, pro-stock, demo skis, whatever...) Then we could go into sunglasses and goggles which is for sure in the hundreds. We really need to have a sale in the worst kind of way. Shit is falling all over me every day...

I just wrapped up a tripped to Brazil and took this shirt with me. I tested the shirt on the airplane. It looks really nice and has lots of pockets and if you get a little warm the roll-up sleeves with button keeper is a nice touch. The next thing i used it for was at the beach as a sun shirt. Once again it works great for that as it was designed for that. The next test was hiking a 3400 foot peak in round trip 7.6 miles in fairly humid 75 degree weather. I was using it more for the bugs than the sun at this point and it did a great job of keeping me bug bite free. Its definetely got a bit damp from all the sweat but it doesn't SOAK it up like a cotton shirt would and it dried real quick on top of the peak. All and all I really recommend this shirt. It fits great, has great ventilation and plenty of pocket space .

I have been wearing these for years. I purchased about 12 pair probably 4 years ago. They have held up really well. The waist bands are starting to deteriorate a tiny bit. I just ordered 6 more pair and they have improved the waistband material. The new version may last forever. They do possibly run a tiny bit small. I am a 30" waist and the MED seems to fit me perfect and they state 30-32" for a medium. If you are a true 32 i would probably go large. I ordered a pair of small to try and they were way too tight.

If you are trying to stay out of the sun this shirt is great. The small is not exactly loose fitting on me but its not skin tight either. The sleeve length is generous. Just been using it so far in the garden and for some hiking. Perfect for avoiding red neck. The hood fits over a hat very well. The material feels very breathable. If there is any breeze at all it feels cooler wearing it than if you were shirtless.

I have been trying to cut back on suncreen use and just cover up more often. This shirt is really comfy. I am 5'9 150lbs and usually a small or medium. I purchased the small and its not exactly loose fitting but not tight either. Sleeve length is perfect. The hood is loose enough that you can really use it for sun shade really well. I will use this fishing later in the summer and I know for sure I will be using it at the beach. So far just been using it on sunny days working in the yard and it does exactly what its desigened for.

These shorts are of the newer slim fitting variety. They are just slim enough that they look good but not too slim that you can't move. They also are the perfect length hitting right at or slightly above the knee. Cell phone pocket on side is stealthy. I own 2 pair now and they are sweet.

I can't get enough with stretch in my jeans or pants. These jeans fit great. They look great. The gusseted crotch makes them more comfy and versatile than any jeans i have ever owned. I mostly have just worn for every day wear and they are perfect.

This shirt is very versatile and looks great. While its not quite as soft as Merino its very stylish and a little more vestatile than your run of the mill cotton shirt. I expect this shirt will last a really long time. Is wool so just know before hand you will have to hang to dry but then again you are saving energy so whats the problem there?

These pants are so versatile that I went back and orderered a 2nd and a 3rd color. I love them. The look great and feel great. They are versatile enough for climbing or a night on the town. The stretch material wears very comfortably. The cell phone pocket is very handy.

I love these pants. They fit true to size and I could spend 24 hours a day in them. The stretch is great and the gusseted crotch is incredibly comfortable. The only complaint I have is the Pewter color which looks like an awesome grey in the photo is actually some kind of green. Its more green then grey...beware. I wonder what the cargo green looks like.

I just used em once so far but I have had lots of different mtb shorts and these have all the features i like and my first impression is they are as good as anything i have owned before (Jett, Oakley, Pearl Izumi, Zoic,) . I am always looking for 2 front pockets for your cell phone and anything else you might want quickest access to and these feel secure even though there is no zipper (I don't want a zipper on those pockets anyway) . The shorts fit great. I rode them with the liner and they were really comfortable. I normally wear bibs underneath my shorts but I thought i would give the liner a try and the liner was good enough for a 2 hour+ ride. The chamois is a little thinner than than you will find in a nice pair of bibs but it still offered adequate comfort. The shorts feel lightweight and pretty breathable. The stretch fabric gives them a superior feel in fit. I also really like the velcro waist size adjustment. I am somewhere in the 30"-31" waist size. I tried a pair of Yeti shorts size small (30") and they were too small. Mediums are always end up too big on me once i have ridden them in. Anyhow, if you are anywhere near 31 or 30 these will fit you great . I suppose they will work for 29" waist too. Great shorts

I ordered size 9 and they fit perfect. They were warm in the frigid K-38 water last week. I feel like I have a great feel for the board with them. I have some older Psychofreak booties and these seem like a nice upgrade over 6 year old Psychofreeks. I like the internal split toe too.
