Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs small

But sheer. And very clingy...as in static cling! I would be afraid to wear it over tights unless I had a slip because of that. I have this dress in jersey fabric, which is nowhere near as sheer or static-y. The blue color is fabulous, though. Runs small, too.

see through. I got the light jade. I own a bunch of these in 150 weight and wanted the heavier one, but they are in black and purple and aren't so bad. I think some darker colors might be OK, like the dark jade/agave. True to size.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I own 2 of these, 1 stoic 150 crew, and 1 stoic 150 zip neck (same as this without the side pocket). This is a more true to size fit than skin tight fit (I wear a M in most things and this, but a L in icebreaker bodyfit). I love the zip necks for the temperature regulation, so wear them more often than the crew neck shirt. The weight is great for runs, biking, workouts, lifting weights, etc. My favorite workout shirt (my old polypros are in the back of the gear closet now) because after I let them dry from all the sweat, they are good to go for a few more workouts! Also, when biking into work, they would be dry by the time I would change back to go home and not be stinky! The 150 weight is nice and light, 200 is heavier and not as high aerobic activity friendly unless it is pretty cold out.
The black/boysenberry color combo is stunning. I'd buy another one if a cool color combo came out, but I just can't justify more unless one falls apart :) So far, they have all held up over the past 9 months with regular washing and air drying, no snags, holes, or seams coming undone.

fits like the bodyfit series. I wear mine as casual wear, so I sized up. Feels a bit thinner than my bodyfit 150's and I think the v-neck is a tad deeper, as well. Not really see-through, but wearing a black bra under the shirt (if it's not the black one) is not recommended unless you are trying to make a statement.

nice athletic fit. the arms are long, with a nice thumbhole. I have short arms, so it fits me more like long gloves, but are also easily cuffed back to get them out of the way for casual wear. the Horizon color is really pretty, too. The double zip is great (I love double zippers as I have wide hips and it helps for sitting to unzip a little bit). I wear a large in Icebreaker bodyfit for a looser fit, and a medium in regular Icebreaker. I got a medium in this and it fits great.

Love this, but it's itchy. I own quite a bit of Icebreaker (including a SL chase shirt that is fine), and this is the only one that itches :( I've washed it at least 6 times so I don't think it will improve much, so I am resigned to wear a cami underneath it. The styling is nice, and I sized up (from a M to a L) as I do in all the IB bodyfit series for a slim/athletic but not tight fit. Great for hiking, biking, and sporty casual wear.

I love the merino weight of the shirt. The sleeves fit great, I did not size down. One big issue. The crew neckline does not stretch! So every time it goes over my head, I tear some stitches out. My icebreakers have a stretchy crew neck and my stoics have stretchy hems and sleeves, so am clueless as to why this does not have a stretchy neck! I won't send it back cause I still wear it, but I've ordered another zip neck to replace this because this is really annoying and over time I don't know how long it will hold up.

I got this somewhere else, but I always read reviews here so I am putting in my 2 cents. The fit: the sleeves are tighter all the way down to the wrist than the IB bodyfit shirts. I am a pretty solid size 8 (5'4", a very hippy 140lbs, 34C) and the medium fits me very nicely. I wear it casually and its a tad tight in the chest compared to what I normally wear but looks cute, I have the burgundy color. The odd gathers at the shoulder/arm don't bug me. I wore it in New Zealand for 3 weeks on and off and it held up well. If it came in a V-neck, I'd get another.

I am an icebreaker addict, but this was my first 'non-tech' top from them. I wear some of their tech tops as casual tops anyway, but this is from their casual line. It fits a lot looser and flowier. I normally wear a L in Icebreaker tops (size 8 on top, 34C) cause I like a looser fit anyway when working out, and in this a Medium was more than a tad generous (I'm sure a small would be too tight in the chest). Sigh..the merino collection grows!

Nice shirt. very thin material, but not see-through. At 5'4" and 140lbs 36B/C, I am generally a small 8 on top (MH/Patagonia/TNF), and wear mostly medium tops. This medium fits quite generously. I'd size down except the bust would be quite tight (not the look I'm going for). The sleeves are long even for having thumb loops, and the length hits inches below my hip bones. If it bothers me too much, I can shorten these things easily. The Baltis is a nice deep/dark green teal color, not the blue on the screen.

Only wish you had it in teal!
I love that the sleeves double back (I have short arms).
it's made of a nice thick jersey fabric.
I am normally a medium and this fits.
The tie hits me OK (I'm a longwaisted petite).
It doesn't wrap around your body much, but ties in front. Very happy with my purchase :D I will be even happier if the black stays black through several washings.
