I live in the south of Russia, place where we have Black Sea, Western Caucasus Mountains and soon will host winter Olympics of 2014.
My husband Mitya, my husky dog Wooster and I - we spend most of our vacations hiking in the mountains.
Our website is in Russian, but the photo gallery can be understood by everybody, I hope http://mountaindreams.ru/photos/all-photo/ :)
We needed a strong pack that would stand the abuse. We walk through rough terrain, often without any trails. Our dog Wooster (siberian husky, 1 year 8 months) has to cross streams with pack, climb rocks, push through snow in winter and tall grass in summer. Our hikes are 2 to 10 days long. Wooster not only carries his own food, he also helps to carry our food, too. We load about 11 lbs. At first the bag looked very small to me, but it is actually very spacious. Dog food for 7 days can be stored in one half, and the other is for our stuff :)
Wooster can't say if he is comfortable, but I think the Approach pack is one of the best I had seen on the net. He never had any bruises or sore spots. We are very happy with the pack so far!
Regarding the SIZE: we have size M.
Wooster weighs 52 lbs and is 25" tall. (He has long limbs and is thin, a sporty version of a husky). We have to shorten all the straps almost to the minimum. The bag fits well, but we also have place to grow.

We love it so far! Tried it under heavy rain, seven days of heavy rains in fact. We were dry and happy.
I had read a lot of reviews saying there is not enough space for two. My husband and I, we have found it to be spacious and comfortable. (We are not very big ourselves, mind you :) The vestibules are also very spacious, they fit our backpacks and the dog (husky) and the dog's pack, no problem.
The weight of this tent is a marvel. It also doesn't take much space in the backpack. We don't use the sack, just stuff it inside and the poles are strapped to the side of the backpack.
P.S. the window is a cool feature! It can help you not to miss a beautiful sunrise:)
fits two sleeping pads and there is also free space in the feet area for our dog (if he wishes so)
