She wears a 6 in womens shoes and the 4 fit her perfectly (fits in a way that her toe is not jammed and heel does not slip while there is slight room to grow) - while in my shopping experience, all north face products have typically run slightly bigger than normal, these seem to run true to size. That said though, she has not worn them enough to show for stretch and flex. I took the hefty risk of surprising her with these (at this point in her life, she cares an awful lot about fashion and what others think of her and I've had poor luck with hitting the nail on the head when shopping for her, without her)...I put em on her bed for her to see em when she got home and she came running in to my room to tell me that she loved them (thank goodness!!) and that they fit (again, thank goodness!!). I bought them in time for summer camp in the Uintas where she'll be doing some light hiking on a trail as well as for running around the block with her gymnastics team. So far, they're comfortable and doing the job...no slipping of the heels, toe jams, or blisters as of yet but again, she's used them for like trail hiking and running, all but a handful of times.
