Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs large

This is a nice, light, functional primaloft vest. I actually like the pockets -zippered on the outside and light, deep ones on the inside perfect for beanie, gloves, or your chocolate if you like to avoid breaking teeth on frozen snickers. I am 5'9" 145 lbs and normally wear a medium, but the small gives me the trim, mid layer fit I want - medium was a non starter. Side panels give a bit of stretch, kind of like the Arcteryx Atom LT jacket. Not as warm as the Atom jacket, but fits a different role

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I purchased these to replace some Specialized BG gel gloves that had served well for 9000 miles but were getting pretty thin from repeated washings and wear. They fit well, are comfortable, light weight and cool. The padding on the median nerve (thumb side - makes thumb and index finger numb if compressed) is fine. Unfortunately, it doesn't work so well for my ulnar nerve (pinky side) and I have had more numbness than with the several pairs of gloves from Specialized. Note, I have thin handlebar tape, on better padded bars, they may be fine.

Radical ST vs FT? The answer seems obvious for the big guys, but I am 155 pounds minus pack in winter insulation mode. I will mount them on K2 Coombacks but am a reasonably aggressive skier (no big hucks, straightlines though. Will be 70/30 touring vs resort, and switching back and forth between Tele gear (yeah, I want it both ways...) Thanks

I am considering the MontBell permafrost, the the Mountain Hardwear Phantom, and the Feathered Friends Helios Jacket. I am looking for a light packable but warm jacket for BC skiing, hut trips, and yes, cold days in town. All are about a pound. Does anyone know the fill weight on the Permafrost and the Mountain Hardwear Phantom? FF lists 8 oz of fill.
