Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Somehow I got paired up to be tent buddies with an awful snoring stink bag on my last backpack trip. After one miserable night, I decided to try out my ENO hammock for the first time. I got lucky; there was no mosquitos or rain to deal with. I had the most comfortable night?s sleep I have ever had while backpacking. I am considering buying an additional rain-fly and mosquito net to ensure total comfort.

I have the older generation (about 3 years) of this. I have been very pleased with my dogs Ruffwear pack. Lexie has successfully packed into the high Uintah's three times with her pack. You definitely want to fit the under-harness well before you start your hike. If the under-harness is not fitted well, it can cause chaffing and raw spots. It is also important to make sure the load in each side of the pack is balanced or one side will sag uncomfortably. It has taken my dog a while to get used to carrying her own weight. However, I think letting Lexie carry her own gear makes her feel more like one of the pack (pun intended).

The detachable top portion fanny pack for the hiker that hates fanny packs. I have always disliked the idea of fanny pack hiking, but the detachable top portion of this Osprey has helped me comfortably reach the top of King's peak 3 times in style. This Osprey Aether pack is the perfect balance between simplistic durability and high tech options. The chest and hip straps adjust comfortably and simply for convenient on the move adjustment. And of course, Osprey has one of the best known lifetime fix-it or replace-it guarantees.
