Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have had the pleasure of riding the H&B a couple of times, and have yet to find a flaw. One day all of my buddies were complaining of difficult, icy, and chunky conditions, and I had to admit I hadn't even noticed. Is effortless to ski, and doesn't demand any particular style. Hooks up in the hard pack and does a fine job of floating in the soft. Really lets you forget about technique and just have fun skiing. Looking forward to purchasing a pair as a dedicated backcountry rig, as there are no conditions it can't handle.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was initially put off by how stiff this ski was, but by the second lap I had embraced it, and was sending familiar lines on my mountain with confidence. The stiffness results in an impressive forgiveness in demanding terrain, even if mistakes were made. Can arc turns of any radius effortlessly. Didn't get to ski in pow, but excelled in choppy terrain.

Fantastic Western daily driver. Enough float for pow even though its only 101 underfoot. Manages to somehow remain playful and stable at the same time. An impressive amount of pop, and will send you sky-high with minimal effort. Makes an accurate an effortless turn on the steeps. Love it.

Really easy to apply, I usually just use the little bit of excess that collects in the top of cap, so it feel like a bottle lasts forever. I like to drop the fly into the water at my feet before the first cast, as the excess from the application can sometimes create a bit of an oily slick on the water, and you don't want that when presenting a fly. I also use it for wool strike indicators.

I have a lot of trucker hats, and this is a level above. My favorite part is how it absorbs abuse and stains without ever looking ratty. More like well-aged and with great stories to tell.

Great for those occasions where you will be pushing a muscle group to its limits. For instance, it will help with the arm pump when riding downhill all day, and doubly so if you are climbing back up to the top yourself.
