Born and raised in Salt Lake City, I grew up hiking, backpacking, climbing, kayaing and generally romping about the woods. I took a four year stint in college in Tacoma, WA where I majored in Biology with minors in both Tomfoolery and Shenanigans (Ultimate Frisbee). I'm now back in Salt Lake, playing Ultimate and romping in the mountains whenever I get a chance.

I've been buying RVCA apparel for a long time now for a pretty simple reason: it's awesome. Their stuff is always extremely comfortable, and this shirt is no exception. I love RVCA designs, and often get compliments when I wear their stuff. I'll keep buying RVCA as long as they keep makin' it.

I've been buying this pair of sunglasses for a few years now. Great pair for someone who doesn't want to commit to dropping some serious scrilla on a pair of Oakleys or Ray Bans -- solid construction and no harm, no foul if they get broken or fall into the river. Great color options, and a great fit for medium sized faces.

I'll keep coming back until I'm ready for a high-end pair of sunnies.

You know what you're getting when you buy Carhartt: tough, durable, high quality, comfortable clothing. These pants are no exception and are my absolute go-to when doing any sort of work; or even car camping (given the weight and bulk, I wouldn't recommend them for backpacking).

Fit true to size around the waist, slightly long in the leg (great for wearing with boots).

This bag gets the job done, plain and simple. The high denier fabric makes it incredibly durable, and it's totally waterproof. Being able to be used as a traditional duffel or a backpack makes it highly functional, and the volume is great. Has an outer pocket for things that need to be readily accessible, and inner mesh pockets to store small things that you don't want to get lost in the abyss.

Bought a pair of these when looking for a nice looking pair of kicks for every day use and have not been disappointed. The leather holds up well in non-ideal conditions and the white sole and border on the upper is a great accent. Fits true to size. Cushy insole also makes them super comfy!

This fleece is awesome for the bitter cold winter days as a layering piece. Or as the only jacket you'll need come fall time. The plush fleece is super soft to the touch and very comfortable. Patagonia is known for quality as well, so you won't have to worry about this jacket quitting on you.

I bought this for my mom, along with the Patagonia Adze soft-shell for when the wind picks up or there's some light moisture. She absolutely loves both.

Bought this hat for the old man for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. Wears it out when shoveling snow, walking the dogs, or just around town. The adjustable earflaps are great for when the wind picks up and your ears could freeze. Super stylish as well, he's received multiple compliments about it.

Stormy Kromer does it again with high quality materials and craftsmanship.

I bought this hoodie recently for fall and winter, and I was not disappointed. Very warm and cozy. Has wrist gaiters as well, so it makes a great inner-layer under a waterproof outer, and the kangaroo pocket has zippers on either side so whatever you put in there won't fall out. Wish it had a slightly longer fit in the torso, but it is still longer than most standard hoodies. . True to size, I'm 6'0, 175lb and I wear a large.

I love these chrome socks, I pick up a pair or two almost every time I place an order. They're super comfortable, they wick sweat and they don't hold odor! I'll keep coming back for more.

I bought this hoodie recently for fall and winter, and I was not disappointed. I love the longer fit in the torso and how warm it is. It's got a nice big hood that can easily fit over caps/beanies. and the kangaroo pocket has zippers on either side so whatever you put in there won't fall out. I think the reinforced elbows are going to be great come spring snowboarding. True to size, I'm 6'0, 175lb and I wear a large.

I bought a pair of these as a gift for my mother a few weeks back. She wanted a pair of comfortable and supportive clogs to wear around the house during the fall and winter. I picked these up and she absolutely loves them. As with all Birkenstocks, they have great arch support and are incredibly durable. They fit comfortably with a pair of socks underneath. True to size.

Much like Pat said, this flannel is super comfortable, very trim, and looks great! I picked up the black one and have gotten several compliments on it. Thinking of buying a few more to keep myself warm throughout the winter. Fits true to size. I'm 6'0, 175lb and I wear a large.

I've gotten a number of compliments on this thing since I picked it up. Super comfortable, super stylish. Fits true to size, I wear a size 7 and a half and have plenty of room for adjustment, both up an down.
Brixton rocks, and so does this hat.

I've used this jacket on several backpacking trips this summer, both in the Wasatch and the Olympic Peninsula. I've been in everything from downpours to light rain, and this baby has kept me dry through it all. Super lightweight but durable construction paired with GoreTex Waterproofing? You can't go wrong. It breathes well (even better with pit zips open), but if you were doing something high intensity like touring or trail running, I'd suggest getting something with GoreTex Active Shell, for added breathability.

Fits true to size, I'm 6 feet tall, 180 lb and a large is great. Fits well with either an insulating layer underneath or just a shirt.

Just to reiterate other reviews here, the shirt is extremely soft (and remains soft after many washes) and I absolutely love the longer fit in the torso (I'm 6'0, 175 lb and I wear a large). Great for a casual, every day shirt. Keeps you comfy without looking scrubby.

For years, I've used Marmot exclusively for all of my down sleeping bags and jackets. Their consistent high quality, high loft and durable products are the reasons why, and this jacket is no exception.

I've taken this jacket on several backpacking trips and have not been disappointed in the least. Early evening, this jacket is all you need and when temperatures plummet at night, combine it with a good baselayer and hat and you're toasty warm. Not to mention it's extremely light weight, and stashes down into it's own pocket for packing. Oh, and it fits great underneath an outer shell or rain jacket.

Fits true to size. You won't be disappointed.
