4 5

Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 140 lbs
Size Purchased: M

These pants are great if you're looking for a non-insulated pair. I am 5'11'' tall and 140 lbs and went with the medium. They were a bit short on me which is why I removed one star. If Volcom offered a long length option, I'm pretty sure all my gear would be made by them! The fit otherwise was perfect for my body type; not loose and icky nor tight and restrictive. The Charcoal color is very nice but in my opinion it has a bit of a blueish tint.

Hands down the best merino wool shirt
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 135 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

I have never before or since used a merino wool shirt as well made and functional as these. I am 135 lbs and 6 feet tall, and the medium fits me like a glove. I almost always have to buy men's shirts because women's shirts are not usually made for tall women, or if they are, they are way too baggy. These Stoic shirts are so perfect because they are long enough in the torso, have longs sleeves so I am not showing off my armpits, are tight enough to have good performance without looking painted on, and have nice colors. I love the V-neck too which gives a little bit of style without overdoing it.

I have worn them for ultramarathons, fly fishing, rock climbing and mountaineering, skiing, padding, and for a month long trip through Europe. The durability has been acceptable; after heavy use some of my shirts have developed holes where my climbing harness rubs.

I am so depressed that backcountry stopped making these. I wish I had bought more. Please bring back this functional, well made piece of clothing. Tall girls will appreciate it!

I am not sure what went wrong here. IB normally makes fabulous items. If they made an XXS, I think it would have possibly fit me, however, I am 6 feet tall and a muscular 140lbs, 34B, so I am thin but not "skinny" and I've never worn an XS in anything. Medium women's IB stuff normally fits me perfectly (long lengths in torso and arms are very appreciated). However, this medium was massive, more like an XL. Additionally, if you have smaller breasts this will basically look like a table cloth on you, albeit a brightly colored table cloth. This is one impulse Steep and Cheap purchase I am happy to return. I can see how some women may like the fit but if you're used to the normal IB sizing, expect this to be way larger than typical pieces.
